a mid-week report on my life lately here at DLSU-D
It's Wednesday, and the middle of the week. It's been one different week. The usual full week of assignments, quizzes, and break outings has kind of swirled down. I blame the Weather and the Prelims. Armed with only one pair of brown pants for the four days i need it, I ventured off....
On Monday
- It rained hard, and it was very windy. That meant the NSTP Documentary I never finished but was ready to present would be postponed by two whole weeks!!! That means a better edit and additional scenes... !!! Later Monday night, Lance got very sick and he was picked up. That left Jan and myself in F3. Joel from F11 (last room, waaaaay down the hall) joined Jan and myself. Except, he didn't come in like the Paige-revelation way on Charmed. Anyways, the winds blew, the rains poured hard, until even the power lines were cut. Also on monday, there was a problem with the water on campus so there wasn't any water or power.
- Flashlights emerged and Joel made contact with the ladies' dorm room opposite our back window! It was Joel that we got to meet, (ahem, they got to meet... I shy'd away) ... Joel got to meet a 4th year ComSci girl named Maan... and the 2nd girl is a younger girl, freshmen year i think... yet she's a "suplada" according to Jan and Joel. (i'm typing here at the DLSU-D internet center, what if "this" girl was right next to me?).
- I didn't see their faces, I guess to them I'm a suplado now. Yet, Joel and Jan reflected to them I was shy and quiet... so maybe that explains it to them. Those girls in E3 (yep, we're F3... they're E3) are lucky to have the guys of F3 as their back window neighbors. I mean, F3 is quiet... errr.. not as loud as F1, F2, F4, and F5.
- It was also on this night, for the first time, that I slept in the dorm without Lance there too. It was also on this night that a record amount of neighbors entered our dorm but not at the same time of course. Would Lance get mad? Nah. It was good that we're kind of interacting now...
On Tuesday
- I thought there wouldn't be classes (as Pres. GMA said so... DLSU-D still had school) so I woke up around 6:30am when I would usually wake up an hour before that. I was in a panic rush and was late for class. Oh well.
- Dumb day i guess. I say this because the weather was cloudy, and the mood was dry.
- In the evening, Joel and I played Battle Realms at Net-O-Pia where he became a member.
On Wednesday (today)
- Half day of course, it's my schedule on Wednesdays.
- Late for class, class "Ecology" was re-located to ERH 111.... the only main subject class to have a classroom outside home sweet home JFH...
- My half-day closes my school day at 11:30pm. At 12pm we were to meet our adviser, for the first time ever! It's weird, an adviser that's never there physically but there technically. We met him... and from the wild, fun-loving, class we were... we wearn't prepared for this one. The Adviser made his first impression to us very clearly.... "I AM THE LAW.". Sheesh. He's a nice guy for the class, great... but his first few lines to us silenced the Kubo entirely for moments...
- Oh well... but when we get to know him more, i bet he'll finally open up and be part of the Journalours.
- Before waltermart, i believe I caused distress to some of my classmates whom were waiting for myself and Jhen to meet them. I thought they went to pay and were in line or waiting (they are actually 1,000 people behind... Tina and Upper were #3,500) so Jhen and I took our time browsing the crowded Admin (with the last-minute rush to pay their bills before the Prelims tomorrow) and even went to the Botibot thinking they were all there. Instead, Tina... Eric, William, and Upper nearly starved to death because of me. SORRY GUYS... sorry talaga. It won't happen again, promise!
- Went to Waltermart (first visit there with classmates), ate at McDo... was given an advanced "Happy Birthday" song (and there were so many people there... but it was all fun)...
- By 3pm, I was alone. I retreated to my dorm to fix things up and then at 3:30pm went to the Mountaineering Society to submit my application and take up my interview. It was short, as they promised. And it felt weird. I mean, I've passed like about six of these already (5 for the VPAPU, 1 screening for the AB COMM)... and my confidence was up a little. I mean, my posture wasn't lousy anymore... my voice was clearer then ever before... i got to the points faster... and then, the interview questions were just "kwento" almost.
- By 3:55pm I found myself rushing here to the DLSU-D internet center.
Plans: On Wednesday night (later)
- Eating outside perhaps with Joel... playing Battle Realms at NET-O-PIA and printing out an assignment in Fundamentals of Christian Faith or REED.
Plans: On Thursday
- No classes, only one Prelim test tomorrow... SINING NG KOMMUNIKASYON or Filipino. I'm moving to the foreigners class already, so now tomorrow seems to be squished or squashed... I'm still taking it and i'll study still.
- This sole exam, is only from 2-3pm. I can sleep long tonight and tomorrow morning.
Plans: On Friday
- Prelims Day 2... and two subjects. REED and PSYCHO.
- I dunno... treat out some classmates or dorm neighbors like Joel for my birthday... eat out?! I dunno.
Special Notes:
- Next week is going to be thee most different, even more different then this week.
- No school on Monday and Tuesday... some elections thing. Meaning a 4-day weekend awaits and kicks off with my birthday.
- Wednesday is Day 3 of the Prelims exams.
- Thursday is some kind of FUNDRAISING RUN or something by CLA or was it AB COMM DEPARTMENT, it slices the Prelims too.
- Friday is the last day (Day 4) of the Prelims, and we still have PE in the afternoon.
