STRANDED ON RAINY DAYZ
The Damage Report - Week #5

I'll do this week's Damage Report differently, rather then with the list thing. I posted a mid-week entry "STRANDED" which explains Monday to Wednesday.

With Lance's absence this week, I've got to tell him that he has missed a lot. I never expected a week... with rain and preliminaries... to still boast this strong and positive energy. During the course of this week, I got closer to a Dorm Neighbor named Joel. Joel, stutters a lot... yet he speaks fluent in English. It's sometimes hard to understand him, and he makes quick and unpredictable decisions. Like one time in the Aklatan Emilio Aguinaldo (Library), he said "let's go upstairs to check out the museum." I agreed, and turned towards the direction of the stairs... when suddenly he swiftly makes his way out towards the door in the opposite direction and even shoves me slightly. Weird. Funny. Cool.

We ate at Jatayna's (i keep pronouncing it: "Ja-ta-nays") again and again... to a point I told him "never again" or at least not for a long while. We tried another japanese place, we ordered and ordered and they didn't have it. Sheesh, they had NOTHING in fact so why the hell where we there? We just left.

We play Battle Realms at Net-O-Pia, and we became members there. Joel and I had to cough out P150 for a 2-year membership however it comes with a minus-5 peso per hour thing. We also tried RUNE, whom my third roomie Jan introduced to us and told us about back in the Dormitories.

What the... I forgot to introduce you guys formally to Joel... here's an addition...

Joel, 17, fun-loving, loves games, hanging out, going places, has a voice of a young psychologist (he's shifting from Political Science to Psychology, both fellow CLA courses, in 2nd sem)

The week was entirely all rain and different schedules. On Monday, the school suspended classes after 1pm and my block starts at 1pm.. so we had no school. That suspension bought my NSTP group 2 whole weeks to re-edit and fully-master a documentary.

On tuesday, it was the only "normal" day of the week. It rained hard, and umbrellas sprouted out from all directions. 2 people per umbrella from the DO towards an undisclosed location. Yep. It was pouring so hard and a parade of BroadJourn pairs under umbrellas were heading out into the rain without a sure destination. It was crazy... it rained even harder and we didn't know whether to turn left, go straight, or retreat. Funny and hilarious though... I had to capture that moment on camera. It even looked more ridiclious with these people in the middle of the street with pouring rain, taking pictures under umbrellas and struggling to stay dry.... which by the way was impossible.

On Wednesday, Civilian day or Wash day... it was 4 1/2 nonstop hours of classes in the morning.

On Thursday, Day 1 of the prelims... it was pretty short. Waltermart... extra time... etc.

And today or earlier, was another crazy day. "Advance, George." they say... and THANK YOU. I wanted to enter class discreetly during first test (REED), the moment I entered William and some other faces in the class yelled out loud to point me a seat. "GEORGE!!! Here... There... sit there!".

About the prelims... i'm not doing good. I could do better. I'm slacking and I'm stacking. I'm slacking with being lazy in studying well in the dorm, instead I'm out with Joel playing Battle Realms or Rune or eating out. And in the dorm, i get lazy for some odd reason, even when there's no TV or PC yet like in a few weeks. I'm stacking, with organizations. I mean, I've joined two and about to make it to the third one if i attend August 7 a "General Assembly" in Mountaineering. I think I'll save Mountaineering for 2nd year because Freshmen Year College is really busy with adjustment, and having all those classes rather then in the higher year levels you have less classes and those classes focus on the core course only.

I'm 17 in 20 minutes... and I'm here back in Tanza. I watched Charmed just now, "A Paige from the Past" and agree with Jhen and K Rehyan that it's a good episode. In fact, I gave it a 9.0... it's in the top 10 fav episodes... or top 12... i dunno. And this monday and tuesday there's no school.

Get Well Lance! I hope to see you guys tomorrow here in my house for the merienda. =D
