I've been waiting the past 48 hours to get access to using the internet. It's 6pm Wednesday now and about half-way across the week. How's school you ask? Well, it's going by fine. We're doing filming and shooting, I'm taking pictures (regular still camera), and it's been a rainy week here.
So what's the real news? Lance and I are a complete three as we have a new roomie. His name is Jan-Vincent. He's a 2nd year student in Business Management. And when I asked him why don't we just call him "kuya" instead, he replied he's not that old anyways... then if you know me well... I popped the age-old-gputz question "When's your birthday?".
November. (a scorpio or a sagg?) 19. (a scorpio!). 1983.
I've gotten a list of birthdays of my new classmates already. Jan-Vincent (nickname: Jan or "Jhun") is a member of the DLSU-D Swim Team or Varsity.
I was praying last summer that my college life would be great... I got blessed by a good course that defines my interests, I got blessed by a new variety of friends at the same time Blessed I can still remain in contact with my friends in High School (all my life, after i "graduate" i always go some place far away where i lose contact with those i "graduted" with), and I got blessed by living on-campus and to have Lance as a dorm mate. The only thing that would complete this grand entrance to College was a third roomie that would be easy and cool to talk to. The original person reserved to be with Lance and myself was some guy named Ramoncito Gutierrez... and by hints from our neighbors, this Ramoncito guy is some kind of bully-kind, buff, and tall... mean... and would most likely be OUT OF PLACE with us.
So I was hoping we'd get someone else as the third roomie. And God answered by filling in the blanks. I said to Lance, the ideal roommate should be someone who's like the "missing link" between Lance and myself. Lance, a Physical Therapist, myself, a Journalist... what we need now is an Engineer or Entrepreneur. Added this guy is into sports.
And we got one. A Business Management and Swim Varsity person.
I know I can't exactly make a conclusion that he's that ideal roommate. For we've barely had a whole week together as roomies yet. But he's the passive kind, opposite what this Ramoncito could have been.
Away with this prediction, God's hand, stuff. "Thank you, once again." *looks up*
With the addition of a roomie that completes the three-people per room limit, that pushes for some changes. This week, our neighbors are crossing the threshold that is our screen door and coming in to talk, play cards, etc. And with Lance's active interaction side by going to our neighbors (yet when he's inside with myself and Jan, he's Mr. Solitude all over again...) .... Lance has told us that our neighbors are really furnishing their dorm rooms. In fact, one of the english speaking peeps down the hall placed Linolium (spellcheck that) on the dirty-red looking floors. Those peeps also have three electric fans, a computer with printer... they play "Starcraft" according to Lance, etc.
So with that information, Lance and I (with Jan's already all-positive support) will try to make F3 more "at home". Heck, we will live in this dorm for the rest of the school year. My contribution is a small television (to catch the news, as it is vital in BroadJourn... and of course, to catch my Studio 23 favorites). Lance will bring a computer and printer, and perhaps a PS2 with an FFX I can play all night long! While Jan will bring an extra Electric Fan and a VCD Player. We're going to place linolium to brighten the floors up and make it seem tiled (duh, that's the purpose of Linolium right?)... and put up more posters.
That seems to be all for now. We did shooting earlier again at the same time a tremendous downpour was present. I still to brush up on shooting... the last time I did this was in 3rd Year HS.
