ALL IN THE NICK OF TIME
Carpe Noctem (Seize the Night) - Week #11

NOTE: this is a post that is made prior to moving back to the dorm and is usually posted on sunday nights.

This is the week I have to repair and abolish all bad High School traits in me. I must eliminate my wasted time or procrastination. I must eliminate the part of me that still believes I'm not as good as the others. I need to finally study and think more positive about my classroom habits. Instead of sitting there and staring, I need to finally get active and let my voice be heard.

I used to be very active in class back in my Middle School on a military base in Okinawa Japan back in 1997 and 1998. I used to be an honor student. When I came to the Philippines, I felt extremely inferior. I was no longer encouraged like I was in Middle School. It's like "every man for himself" in the Philippines, or so I thought.

I'm not expecting to become an honor student again. I've come to develop that I would prefer to accomplish personal goals. Getting a good grade of course is top priority, but turning into a perfectionist is not. I just need to improve. I know I got potential and space for improvement... but I still feel inferior, weak, and needy of friends to help me. I speak from the part of me in the classroom.

Other then that, I have to manage my time well. If there's anything else other than grades to improve on, there would be my time management. I need to submit articles on or before the deadline. I need to log in at the Heraldo Filipino earlier and juggle time blocks and make it to class early. Instead of entering class at the dot, I should be in the class at least five minutes before it starts.

I need to improve on my studies. I want to perfect my timing.

Tomorrow is a busy day already. But I think Monday is the only day so far to be busy. Tomorrow morning I head back into DLSU-D. But before entering the campus, we would all purchase two more yards of Linoleum for our Dorm room. And I need to stop by a supermarket and get some food for the dorm.

Other then my 1-5pm non-stop classes block tomorrow, I must proceed to PLS for the taping and shooting of a portion in our segment "Far Away Home" for the AB Comm Channel. I'm joining Joanna and Ate Raissa.

On Tuesday, the taping and shooting continues during my breaks. That means I have no free time on the first two days. Wednesday onwards I think I should be okay and finally free to concentrate on studies and improve my timing.

Tuesday and Thursday AM I'm hoping I'll perfect a schedule for jogging with my dorm neighbor and friend Joel. We'll go around from our Dorm Building to the Rotonda, then around the side road that leads to the Alumni Hall, then to Acacia Avenue to the Oval to find if it's open or not. If it's open, we'll do two laps. If it's closed, we'll just jog to PLS and set up a track from PLS to the CBA Building (most coolest-looking building on campus for Business students) and from CBA to the Receiving Area of the girls' dormitory.

I want to enjoy walking with Candy, Rachelle, and Lorraine together with my room mate Lance as we scroll down the dark main avenue covered with Acacia Trees inside DLSU-D.

I'm also hoping to catch up with Candy, Rachelle, and Lorraine. We all need to eat out. Together with Lance that is. All of us, all friends of High School and now studying at DLSU-D. We need to exchange schedules too. And I have an urge to drop them to the receiving area of the girls' dorms inside the campus at night and under the orange street lights after we all eat.

Midterms coming up and grades, grades, and grades this week. It all counts this week. Here I go now.
