AMONG PHANTOMS AND TEST PAPERS
The Damage Report - Week #12

NOTE: this is a post that is made to give a summary of events that has happened at DLSU-D during the finished week.

A review of this week posted now would have to be short. I mean, with all the free time inbetween exams and examination days, I've been able to update about my life a lot recently. Ranging from Phantoms and Ghosts in the night to the pre-exam panic just five minutes before the test. It's been a weird week again.

The route of the exams this week was more smooth compared to the Preliminaries last July. Last Preliminaries, I said "I can do twice as better." and now for the Midterms, I can say "I wasted some opportunities."

If I studied and focused more, I could have revived any fallen subjects and replenish them with a refreshing new start for the Final Term which begins on Monday.

Ghost stories everywhere. Ranging from the Men's Dorm Building. To the Girl's New Dorm Building. To MAH, one of the triplet old buildings from the late 1970s. To Judy's boarding house off-campus.

The week also had refreshing moments making contact with old friends in High School. (which was, only 5 months ago). Last week Lance and I slept over at Nikki's house at Metrogate. Than this week, a dinner with Candy at Fiat on Wednesday. On Friday night, Erika called my cellphone and we updated each other about our lives.

This week was also surrounded by examinations. The one's I fear from are "Kasaysayan" and "Algebra". I know I'm missing one. The "Foreigners' Filipino"/"Basic Filipino Class" exam earlier was easy except for the Aspecto test.

As ghosts roam the halls. As professors check our exams. As old High School friends continue their new lives in Colleges in and around Metro Manila. I am in my Dorm Room last night. Lance went somewhere. Jan went home. And I opened my room to invite the few and remaining dorm guys and we play... CRASH TEAM RACING!!

With Lance's Playstation, Multi-Tap, and Controllers... the game is on as these freshmen guys play 3 players at a time with this classy and fun racing game. With crate boxes, fruit, and projectiles! It was like a sleepover. I just noticed that it is on these friday nights where restrictions are put down... that neighbors can sleep in the rooms of others (for late night conversations, jokes, video games, PC games, and the like)... that it's like this giant SLEEPOVER. With the orange light setting I placed in my room, it felt like we where in some Condo in the big city except there was no traffic.

I'm at ERS with Lance for the 11am batch and it's ending in about 30 seconds. Lance was surfing for FAQs in CTR to see if we can enable new stages, cheats, etc. Anyways, after this I'm going to get something to eat and than we'll return to our dorm and pack up. Lance will get picked up at 12:30nn and I'll get picked up at 1:00pm. Except he goes home, and I go to General Trias to see my cousins on my dad's side for the first time in months. Than I go home to relax and to work on finding an new image server for this blog.

UPDATE: I typed this that one morning and should add this. Later on Saturday I attended my cousin Ate Welmie's daughter Eeya's 7th Birthday. Sounds simple? Well it really wasn't. They rented this Sports Complex in General Trias, Cavite and celebrated it there complete with a show of clowns and dances. I haven't seen the relatives on my dad's side for a long time. I thought they'd ask me "how's college" or at least smile when they saw me. But instead, the impression was that they were totally not interested. As long as it was me and I was standing there wearing clothes and looking alive, then I would pass for them. I was happy to see them and wanted to talk to them, but they were just busy sitting there in their chairs staring. Geez. I wanted to leave early and we left early. Got home and watched the Gilmore Girls' Season 2 Finale and went surfing.

TITLE IN REVIEW: I'm having trouble placing titles for "The Damage Report" recently. I wanted every week to be titled after a lyric of a song or a song title itself. But this week I couldn't find any good line in good songs lately that would fit this week. So I'll just title it whatever I want from now on. I'll try and keep the lyrics thing on If I find a good line or title. Until then, ordinary titles.
