High School Friends Unite for Dinner
Like I met Nikki last Friday, and now Candy last night

RECAP: The group of 7 you keep hearing about are my closest friends back in High School. They are: Bryan (in the states, also has a blog), Erika (studies at DLSU-Manila taking up Literature, also has a blog), Nikki (valedictorian of our HS Batch, studies at UP taking up Chemical Engineering), Candy (Ms. Atheneum 2000, studies at DLSU-Dasmarinas taking up Nursing), Lance (english speaking like me but speaks tagalog, studies at DLSU-Dasmarinas taking up Physical Therapy), Joy (great friend of mine, studies at UP taking up Psychology), and of course the last is me. Our group wasn't shut like a metal box, it was open and really had no exact form. Other HS classmates and friends of mine would always interact with members of our group. The twins Rachelle (DLSU-D, ComSci) and Lorraine (DLSU-D, Industrial Engineering) for instance were close to Erika and Candy. Classmates Enrico and Lennette were close to Joy, etc.

Rachelle and Lorraine couldn't attend. Candy's room mates had to study. Lance, Joel, and myself went to the Campus Dormitory Lobby to pick up Candy. We waited for a few minutes since we did arrive early. When she arrived, we headed off to Fiat's outside. On the way I got my reviewer in Kasaysayan from Upper. I went out to Xerox it.

Lance silently walked behind us txting someone and Joel did his best to catch up with Candy and myself. Candy and I spoke about the latest happenings. From the Midterms this week to how Nikki is doing. Candy said she saw Joy, and she's looking really cute. I guess I can picture that. The last time I saw Joy in person was outside the DLSU-D Main Gate as it was dim because the clouds just set and the sky was dark gray.

She did have longer hair as Candy said. The only person I haven't seen in awhile in person is Erika and Bryan. Bryan, for sure, I won't see for a longer time since he's in the states. And Erika, possibly soon.

We ate at Fiat's. That lady there is nice and all, Ate Precious is her name I think. However, she just stares at us when we ate. She like waits till we get to the tenth spoonful and she'll automatically say "More rice?". Parang computer siya, not to be mean. She's extremely nice, but now in a freaky kind of way. That's the only reason why I want to steer clear of Fiat on consecutive days.

It was Candy's first time there and I wasn't sure if she'd enjoy it. She did as she txt'd later on. However, I wish she had gotten to try the Chunky Chicken which was just absolutely delicious. But Fiat ran out of those already, perhaps due to it's popularity.

Lance and Joel remained silent in the background on a different table and they spoke of other things. Ambient music like Freestyle and sorts played in the background and the small air-conditioned room was lit by spotlights. A nice atmosphere to remember the past and to talk about the present... except with the lady staring at your plate as you eat was just disturbing.

We stopped by K-Stuff (down the alley, the supply shop) and picked up some things as I got Upper's reviewer for Kasaysayan photocopied. Than we made it back on campus and we dropped Candy at the Lobby. Wait... we stayed for a good 15 minutes to finish up our conversations.

After dropping Candy off, it finally felt good that we've had a restored communications and updates of our lives out-of-blogs that is. I just wish I could do the same with the others. If I can go to a mall with Bryan in New Jersey. If Joy can give me a tour of UP. If Erika and I can meet up somewhere along Taft Avenue. I've met with Candy, I've met with Nikki, and I'm dorming with Lance.
