As I watched my classmate Emil storm into the classroom holding a trophy that my beloved JOU1-1 class won during the "Buwan ng Wika"... I started to feel a bit absent. It's the only subject I'm away from my classmates-- Sining ng Kommunikasyon. With a Foreigner's Filipino class on Saturday which substitutes my Tuesday and Thursday "Sining", it gives me this extra time.
I walked down the empty 2nd Floor of JFH hearing my class inside the room yelling and cheering as our professor, the great Dr. Pil Garcia, got everyone's spirits up and reminded the class of it's victory. I didn't feel that bad, a part of me wanted to stay in that classroom and cheer with them. But I know I belong somewhere else, like here at ERS and Saturdays for Foreigner's Filipino.
I walked alone with a smile down the hall and down the stairs. As I entered the sun light at the Facade of JFH, I could still hear my classmates in bursts of cheering. I stopped smiling because others would probably be freaked out at the Kubo's and instead just made a quiet walk to ERS.
I gave the snub-faced ERS guy (geez, he could be behind my back reading what I'm typing here) my ID to log me into a computer. I still had a few minutes before the 12 o'clock batch would start at ERS. I headed to the Church by myself, lit a candle and said a prayer. I took my time with the prayer to reminisce my High School friends and what they are probably doing right now. Towards praying that my dad was safe in his travels in the United States this week and next week. Towards my Mom being strong enough to defend herself from her relatives. Towards my brother in my old High School, hoping he'd be a successful Sports' Editor and finally pigslap that Filipino-subject bitch, Ms. G, and become an Honor student somewhere along the way to his Graduation. Towards my classmates studying now in Sining ng Kommunikasyon, praying they be able to concentrate well about tagalog speech. You get the point.
I walked back to ERS which is just 30 meters away from the church at the DLSU-D Plaza. I waited for a while and was finally able to surf. I'm at PC #65. I logged in to Blogger again and checked out Bryan and Erika's blogs (my close friends back in HS). Erika is defending herself from another blogwar and Bryan missed his first day of school again in the States since the people at that school in New Jersey aren't finished registering him yet. Erika, Bryan, keep your spirits up! I'm on the way to check out Candy's blog and the other blogs linked from my blog.
Check out Stolenshot, my secondary blog, for more simple and direct thoughts from me lately.
