THE FRESHMEN YEAR FINALE
Carpe Noctem (Seize the Night) - Start of Week #35
"On the Season Ender of..."
ONE regular school year comes to an end. This is the last week of studies for the 2nd Semester. The Finals examination run from Tuesday up till Friday. It's a war between pass and do good or fail and do bad. My war is in Elementary Statistics, despite the coverage of it being from a previous long quiz. I need some help here since I failed to attain the notes. In General Chemistry, I'm also lacking on the notes. I'm determined to review them once I get some notes. And the biggest war for me will be in Biological Science, some simple memorizing is so hard when you have dead interest on a subject such as that.
In other subjects, it'll be regular reviewing. I'm trying to balance my studies and I don't want my High School habits to repeat itself. In subjects I really like, I get high scores. In subjects I dislike, I get lower scores. It doesn't look good in the results. From a 94 down to a 70 back in High School. I don't want to repeat this.
Hopefully the grip of organizations will be loose, as in, entirely loose this week. The AB Comm Channel's next event is the overnight General Assembly next Saturday night at "Hidden Vega Resort", wherever that is. Then for the Heraldo Filipino, it's continued layout of the last Broadsheet this school year. I'm not sure about the Year-End Seminar in Heraldo Filipino, but according to my friend Oliver Ablan, he said "everyone" might go to the seminar. The school can't pay for everyone in the HF to enjoy a 4-day 3-night somewhat luxurious trip to Mindoro... so they only pick out the ones that can witness the change of the Editorial Board. Personally, I am very interested in witnessing how this works among the staffers and EB. And I'm hoping, that in someway, we all can go. I want to know everyone in HF more than just the face in the office.
Class President Tina has already stated that this week is her last week as the classroom President. I believe she should continue her term during the Summer months. I mean, why give out now? Elections for the Broadjourn Program Council might be this week. I'm fully supportive of this. Having our own Program Council will give us a louder voice and is one step in promoting our new course.
I'm in the mood to take pictures again. I took a break mid-February after that week I got 63 pictures, which is my personal record breaking amount within one week. But now, it's Finals time and I have to achieve getting a Class Picture of Broadjourn and a Batch "1.5" picture of the on-campus Men's Dormitory "Pioneers".
To everyone I've met this past year, I hope to see you again next year. To those graduating students I've met, CONGRATULATIONS and GOD SPEED in building your careers. To those shifting and/or transferring out of Broadjourn, good luck and God speed in your new chosen directions. To my classmates, I'm going to see you all this summer and we are going to surf the summer heat and party! Hahaha. To my dorm mates, it was awesome. See some of you guys next year, and to those leaving... like you Kurt, good luck when you get accepted as a Nursing Student at Makati Med. Wooooo hoooo!!!
It's all getting bittersweet now. All the lasts surrounded by all the notes to review. This is the Freshmen Year Finale.
