PRICE TAGS AND FITTING ROOMS

I've never gone shopping crazy like this. I went with my mom to my old High School, Atheneum, earlier and afterwards we went to SM City Bacoor. We ate at Goldilocks since we did have expensive food on Saturday night (King Bee Restaurant in Mangahan General Trias) and we wearn't in the mood for more chicken. After eating, I submitted a roll of film to Island Photo and further inquired about how to develop shots from my new Digital Camera (which my dad still has with him on board the USNS John Ericsson still at sea in the Middle East).

I now had money to spend and a lot of savings, and the Monday morning and lunchtime atmosphere of the mall was just excellent. I went into Marithe Francois Girbaud and bought a long-wallet. Now, I have a wallet and something to put pictures and organized money in (no more digging in the pocket). We went into Optical Works were I decided to look for the "rectangularish" glasses compared to the oval-shaped glasses I've had since 3rd Year High School. The lady searched around all the glass displays and finally found one. I also got my eyes checked and found out that my Grade on the old oval-shaped lens glasses were only 100 (i thought they were 150). After another check-up, I found out my new Grade is as follows: 125 left eye, 150 right eye. I freaked out for a few minutes and didn't expect my eyes to have different grades... but I've heard some friends have that kind of thing so I dismissed the thought.

I decided to also revive the oval-shaped lens glasses with new lenses (125-left, 150-right) and what I've always wanted, tinted. Just like Aldrich, heh heh. He can say I "bit" off him now, but one look at Lance....

Two glasses would come out later. My new pair with a silver frame, new "rectangularish" lenses, and the new grades on them. While the old pair came out with new tinted lenses adjusted to the new grades.

By that point, my hair was bothering me. My bangs were so long it wasn't just irritating my eyes, it was already starting to irritate my upper lip. I decided to get a small haircut... at David's Salon for Men and Women. But then, we would have to pay P198 pesos for some "Ms. Acha-choo-coo" just to trim my bangs and snip snap a few times. We went next door to Going Straight and this gay guy cut my hair. I decided since the place wasn't stuffed with girls, ladies, and anyone else... that I open up and instead of getting a normal haircut, I apply a style Aldrich suggested. I explained it to them and the hairdresser did their best. Until it got to a point that it was looking nice but it didn't seem like the way Aldrich described it. I called Aldrich's phone right there and then and we spoke for two minutes about what to do.

But I was too convinced with the haircut in the reflection of the mirror that I dismissed further "experimenting" into applying the style Aldrich suggested, which was the back is shorter than the front and on the sides it kind of slants downward towards the bangs. Oh well, but I do like the haircut. Can't wait to see what I can come up with there.

We went into the Department Store to the Money Exchanger, and soon we found ourselves (my mom, myself and our driver) roaming down the 1st level. We bought long black socks for Paul as he wanted, and I got new white socks. I also bought a new necklace.

Afterwards we proceeded into Bench and I have never gone through so many clothes and multiple fittings in shopping. I tried on five, six, seven different tops. Three different pairs of pants and 3/4th length and overhauled. I love Pennshoppe, but the chances of finding matched clothing with Brian, Basil, Karl, Lance, and Aldrich (the ESPs, english-speaking-peeps) would be higher. I also don't currently have Bench in my little wardrobe.

After what was probably a whole hour (woah, time does fly while you're fitting clothes) I came out with two pairs of pants. One overhauled and the other 3/4th length... the first 3/4th length pants I got. It's also khaki-casual. I thought it would go with the Summer flow. I also came out with three polos/shirts. Two maroon-black bags of Bench came out and I was leaving the place satisfied.

All the fitting made me hungry so we ate at Burger King right near Bench. After eating, we looked for some pinlights for my room and afterwards we dropped by Penshoppe. There, I was surrounded by so many nice clothes. They all looked like something the other "members" of ESP would wear. I saw a Red version of Aldrich's 2-white-line and number-8 polo. I saw two shirts or polos that resembled something I think Lance wore recently. I picked out my own and went for Summer clothes, clothes I think the other guys don't have to avoid conflict, and price.

I tried on another five to seven different shirts and polos until I stood holding four shirts/polos. There was this yellow with black on the sides that I really liked, but then we saw factory defects at the same time found out it was the last on-stock. Damn!

I came out of Penshoppe with another three polos/shirts, to my personal surprise too. We went to Optical Works to pick up my new glasses and my newly smoke-tinted old glasses. We went down to the Supermarket and from the minimal traffic we encountered at the mall today, we discovered that the Supermarket was crowded. All the Cashiers were filled with five to six customers lined up in each. All mom wanted to buy was some drinks like Milk for Paul. We decided not to go in, so after ordering some Greenwich for myself, we went home.

One long day of shopping comes to an end. It's the first time I've actually done it, er, over-do it.
