On being Absent from classes
I didn't go to class today. I had a stomach ache after a plate of rice and shrimps last night. And to say, today we're supposed to be going to Baclaran and Las Piñas to finish up the on-location researching.
The stomach upset downed me the whole morning and basically the first half of the afternoon. I haven't had a stomach upset for a while now, so I guess I should be thankful for that.
Ate Angge and I txt'd each other and coincidently we also chatted on Y! Msgr. earlier. Our Research Paper is complete and approved, it just needs to be encoded now. We've decided to split the job entirely in half. She will type up the research paper while I will prepare for the defense next week. Our defense grade will be the equivalent of our Final Grade in English102.
We've already swapped reporting positions with research partners Ayesha and Jhen. Therefore, we will be reporting as the third and last group on Wednesday. We had to swap since our original randomly assigned position was the 2nd group for Tuesday. Since we are preparing our defense using a computer, we need access to the DLSU-D EMS Center. We joined the bandwagon on Wednesday since 2 of the three Wednesday groups were going to present theirs using powerpoint as well.
However, when we originally asked the only group that wasn't presenting something with powerpoint... he didn't want to give up their Wednesday position. Meaning, he would block us from reporting with a computer since he won't let his grip loose on that day. Once again, he wasn't even sure if his research partner Joanna and him would be using a computer!
We made arrangements with Ayesha and Jhen also from Wednesday and swapped with them.
Anyways, back to the research paper. Ate Angge will be doing the encoding while I will prepare for the defense. I'm thinking of adding a Filipiniana tune to the background of the EMS Center and making use of the overhead projector as well as the computer.
All of it?
Yes, all of it! Kung pwede lang kay Miss at yun mga tao sa EMS. My plan is the present the defense in the most interesting way possible. The use of the media. Last Tuesday and tomorrow (Baclaran and Las Piñas) we would have accumulated a number of pictures that I will scan and use to project onto a big-screen at the EMS. Then, the overhead projector will also be used next to it to showcase the information we've gathered.
Hopefully it all turns out a success and we get an excellent grade in English102. I'm just worried something will be missed, so we'll be observing how three groups on Monday and three groups on Tuesday to see what we can do to spice up ours.
