AN EMPATH AT A DEBUT
Carpe Noctem (Seize the Night) - Year 2 - Start of Week #06
Background Music: "Please Don't Take Me For a Fool" by Blue
NOTE: a weekly entry that is posted before moving into the dorm inside La Salle. Includes thoughts and ideas at the start of the week.
A DISASTER is up ahead and I'm heading straight for it. The Preliminary Exams are this week and I haven't had any general review. A storm blew all my notes away and I'm in for late-night and last-minute reviewing.
Katz' Debut over the weekend was awesome. I had provided the transportation for the first time and with my mom's cousin Kuya Henry as the driver, we picked up everyone at Waltermart Dasmarinas last Saturday around 5:00pm.
As the sun began to set we arrived in San Pedro, Laguna. We arrived at the place around 6:15pm thinking we would be late, but actually we were the first ones there. We went into the bathrooms to fix ourselves up even more.
We were all in formal wear once again and sat down and just starting talking at a table. After nearly an hour, the program began. There was a documentary on Katz' 18 years. Then, the moment finally came, when she arrived.
I took pictures with my digital camera throughout the event. Upper's transportation arrived late, we were already finishing up eating. The food was delicious and the drink was Orange Juice, which I really enjoyed.
During that time, I was txting Tony to check if he was okay. He had a check-up in San Pedro. He's from nearby Biñan.
Leah sang a song but she was holding a paper with the lyrics to make sure she didn't mess up. Like before, she was outstanding.
The Eighteen Roses part happened and in our class, Eric and I would dance with Katz. I felt nervous right before my name was called. It was called and my nervousness would go away when I'd start a conversation with the debutant while dancing. With Katz, I simply said "I don't know why I'm so nervous... this is my first time as a rose...." and she smiled.
Eric took over and I sat down. William took pictures.
During the Eighteen Candles they went up. Teenah, Arjay, Upper, Leah, and Kay from my class.
Keith and I joked around and took notice of two nice looking girls who were around. One had the most beautiful eyes which made Keith and I gasp in awe. Hahaha. The other one was skinny and she had nice glasses. But despite her being skinny, she could really carry that gown she was wearing. The motiff by the way was Green.
We took more pictures at the back during the rest of the program which involved the toasts and the gifts... those took a while and we didn't know anyone of the eighteen there.
All throughout, my classmates began greeting me already "Advance George!".
Other highlights involved those guys that danced. Four dance numbers in fact. The opening dance number where they wore neon colors. The second dance number to a mix of hits from just a few months ago. Then a surprising one where Katz looked goregous. She danced! Yes, she danced! *Hides from her Boyfriend* And then the last one was freaky. The guys that danced did an Egyptian number. Oh my god! JOU2-1 will be doing an Egyptian number during the PE-Folk Dance competition. I don't want to be half-naked! Nooooo!
But in another sense, we're all growing up now. Who gets to dance daringly and have fun these days. Live Life... Dance half-naked this semester. *joke joke joke*
I joked "I'm going to drop our PE class this semester."

Moments before the 13th of July, I went outside and looked at the night sky and saw the Full Moon shining brightly.
I turned 18.
I went back inside and sat next to Teenah. We would soon find out that she was robbed of P3,000 pesos. Half of my classmates present went to Apple's house just 5 minutes away.
When they returned, we all spoke outside about the situation. Upper and Leah couldn't go with us to "the bar". I wanted to treat everyone but I had left my wallet and my allowance for the night at home. Damn.
We debated until around 1:30am and my CR-V was there next to Upper's SUV. Kuya Henry was already falling asleep.
We agreed to just go to Apple's house instead of going to Padi's Point in Biñan. At Apple's house, I wanted to drink (so badly in fact... to wash away my sorrow) but I felt out of place with Katz' HS Batchmates and her boyfriend.
We didn't leave until around 4 o'clock in the morning. After dropping everyone to their places (Keith in Southwoods, Maycee in Goldenville Subdivision in Dasma Bayan, Arjay and Teenah at Arjay's dorm near the UMC, and Eric in Bacoor) I arrived home around 5 o'clock in the morning of my birthday.
I spent my birthday in the house. Bryan Fuerte, my best friend from High School, stopped by with Nikki! He just came from the airport. They really just stopped by. I had no friends come over until late afternoon. Aldrich, Lance, and first timer Alex. We ate at the Living Room and blessed it since no one has sat there yet since we finished the ceiling, tiles, and the furniture. Cool.
I was finishing up painting my Art Apprecitation project and then soon they had to leave. I still didn't get to have my drink!! Arrrg. Like I stated in a previous post, I think I've overdone the phrase "Drink Moderately". ^_^ Someone hand me a drink (after the exams).
They had to go early since they have classes on Monday (HA-HA, I don't! -joke).
I spent the rest of the night just working on my blog template and then I tried to surf but the internet kept disconnecting every 45 seconds to 1:30 seconds. Stupid Pacific Internet. Stupid!
I'll include Monday to my weekend since I'm still here in the house and it's 5:15pm already. I spent this whole day typing all my entries and fixing up my blog. Tonight, I move back into my dorm and start catching up on studying. Tomorrow morning I gotta pay my tuition fee and get my permit.

Here are the four pillars:
Academics. I'm behind for the Preliminary exams this week and I need to do a lot of studying. I just pray my mind is clear of distracting things and I can focus on my test papers. And that nothing else wrong happens. I have to work on my Reflection Paper for Reed103: Church.
Heraldo Filipino. The La Salleno is in the works now I believe and that's all I can seem to say. A new set of deadlines is to be released. If I get some assignments, I want to get them done immedietly.
AB Comm Channel. There's nothing much I can say about myself here. Other than the screenings are finished and I think we have a new batch of Production Assistants.
Dormitory. I hope I find the balance and the energy and the enthusiasm I seem to have lost. I hope this place becomes the venue of good studying and not chaos. Sleep early George! Study George! Study for the exams!!

Praying for everyone's good health...
