ANATOMY OF CORRUPTION
Carpe Noctem (Seize the Night) - Year 2 - Starting Week #16
Background Music: "By Myself" by Linkin Park
NOTE: This is a weekly blog entry that is posted at the start of the week prior to moving into my dormitory.
THIS week JOU2-1 will be practicing and performing in the Mass Demonstrations for PHED103: Exotic Dance. Side by side with those practices, is the practice for the Art Appreciation "Musical Broadway". This week the Teatro Lasalliana will be staging their production "Anatomiya ng Korupsyon" which has classmate William Eusores as the leading role without an alternate.
My dorm mate Tony and his block COM1-1 will be performing a 25-minute play at the CLA grounds. They've been practicing for about two weeks now. It's part of the Buwan ng Kasaysayan at DLSU-D. They've been selected to do the intermission number and they won't be competing with other block sections.
Not to add the Personality Development Seminar and a long-delayed interview with Dean Antonio at the Office of Student Affairs.
I can't seem to talk about anything else right now. I'm distracted by this mess of things to do. It's like one mistake will be a chain reaction on everything else.
Other things to do:
- Final Speech in Speech and Oral Communication
- Make a theory in Communication Theory
- Study for the debate in Retorika
- Recitation in Constitution
- Powerpoint Presentation in Basic Computer
- Outreach Program in REED103
- Musical Broadway in Art Appreciation
- Egyptian Dance in PHED103
- Dean Antonio during Martial Law article
I've typed this early since the remaining part of this short weekend of mine will be at my classmate Rona's debut in San Pedro, Laguna. I'll be taking lots of pictures.
I'll be waiting for my old classmate (who left DLSU-D) Jerson in my house here in Tanza, then I'll be picking up my other classmate Krystel and my best friend Lance at McDo Noveleta, and then in Bacoor we'll pick up my classmate Eric.
I think a number of classmates in JOU2-1 will be there.

Here are the four pillars:
Academics/JOU2-1. (80% share) If I don't focus here, it all ends here. At least our schedule next semester is really good. There is just so much to accomplish right now in JOU2-1 and in my academics as specified above.
Heraldo Filipino. (15% share) I have that one last article about Dean Antonio during Martial Law, and I believe from there all my assignments are done at HF. It needs to be. I cannot accept any article assignments (more specifically non-Feature assignments) for the next Broadsheet (I have no articles for the next broadsheet at this point, the first time I won't have anything published in it). I'm hovering around the thoughts of filing for Leave of Absense if things get out of hand. I promise I will return, stronger, in the 2nd Semester.
AB Comm Channel. (5% share) Currently with my situation in my academics and my problem in Heraldo Filipino (I'm tired of writing... I've lost my passion since I haven't had a break from writing articles), this leaves barely any room for the Comm Channel.
Dormitory/Tropa. With the end of the semester around the corner, and the fact that our University will be hosting the UNIGAMES next month... we definantly have to evacuate the dorms. I am starting to grow depressed that some people that I've met this semester won't be around next semester. Within the tropa, some things are about to change as I can now forsee. Good news for some, bad news for some, and for me... I have a sword in my hand.

Title explained: "Anatomy of Corruption". Corruption is rampant in the government and in public offices... yata yata yatta. This corruption I'm talking about is me. Little by little, day by day, this part of me is growing bitter and cold. I sleep late nights. I wake up late. My grades are lower. As much as I drink (but to a limit that I haven't been drunk in my entire life yet) I still feel depressed. Slowly, within me, I am losing it. I am trying to keep strong. I am trying to turn into light and shed all the shadows away in me... and in those around me. ("Anatomy of Corruption" is the english translation of the Teatro Lasalliana show this week)
