PUTONG VERSUS L.O.M.M.
Carpe Noctem (Seize the Night) - Year 2 - Starting Week #27
Background Music:
"Hold On" by Good Charlotte

NOTE: This is a weekly blog entry that is posted at the start of the week prior to moving into my dormitory.

SHUT up. Sorry, I just had to say that. I'm trying to keep myself happy here. Why is it when you're depressed, the choice of music is Alternative, Pop-Rock, or Punk Rock? I'm in to Linkin Park (From the Inside), Good Charlotte (Hold On), Blink 182 (Feelin' This), and POD (Will You). I avoid love songs and ballads now (exception to "Have you ever?" by Brandy)

If not alternative, dance or fast music is ok. It keeps my mind moving ahead instead of dwelling or drowning in the misery of some parts of my life recently.

Thank you Lord for all the blessings that I have received. But, I just can't be happy all the time.

Last week I enjoyed two San Mig Strong Ice before my first REED class of the new year. Heheh. I was dizzy in the classroom. Ate Jo, according to Eric, smelled the beer on me. Hik. Shit. I also had a San Mig Light at the end of the week.

If there's anything in the world I can do right now, it would be to scream my lungs out and just cry. To just fly away somewhere and be on my own. To develop another side of me that is trying to be more independent.

Pointes on SOP - Week #5

My classmate in the Pointes, Jeremy, did mention that the St. Scholastica girls were really good dancers. And he was correct.

Although La Salle won for the fifth time this week, I have to admit that the St. Scholastica girls were very good! In terms of who probably had the most heated performance earlier today, it would have been FRONTACT B and it wasn't the Pointes' girls.

Only girls danced this week so the "playing field" will be even with St. Scholastica's girls.

The Pointes girls danced to the opening of Britney's "Satisfaction" and the rest of the song was to "Lady Marmalade" by Mya, Pink, Lil Kim, and Christina Aguilera. The Pointes made use of tophats and poles, but honestly speaking (compared to the tribal-beat powerful performance they had last week)... the effect wasn't as "bold" as it should be.

Admittingly, the Pointes won by votes, once again. But it was a pretty good fight anyways.

I'm sort of expecting something really powerful next week again. Maybe it's my mood today. Or maybe I've reached the point where watching the Pointes on TV was "normal" now. But nevertheless, they did a great job. All my applause to them.

Sorry folks, although I do have a recording, I didn't have the energy and the time to work with posting screencaps this week.

And by the way, I requested to write-up about the Pointes for the next Broadsheet release and Paul, the News Editor, approved. Unlike *cough*.

Four pillars of College life as usual...

Academics/JOU2-1. The 9 cases are due on Monday! Arrrg! Laws of Mass Media, do or die! The title of this post is "Putong versus L.O.M.M." (short for Laws of Mass Media, BRJM102) because these damn cases are destroying me! I hate this subject!!! It's the hardest damn subject. I just can't concentrate. Sir Ricardo Santiago will have my head tomorrow. Bull.

Heraldo Filipino. I now have one article to work on for the HF which was approved by Paul. It's an article about the Pointes 'N Flexes on SOP. Amidst some certain people who probably laughed at me when I brought that newsworthy thing to the office, the editor has approved it. I mean, I'm frustrated if the broadsheet is going to be all about the administration and some other bullshit... excuse my cursing. I certainly believe that the Pointes on SOP is definantly something of public interest in our university. If she wants to have a debate about it, bring it on.

AB Comm Channel/ISA. A meeting on Monday at 5:30pm (that is, if I'm still alive after Laws of Mass Media) to discuss certain things. For the International Students Association (ISA), they will be having an International Food Festival and Aldrich has this modelling show planned. I'm thinking of pitching in by helping out at Aldrich's "GUAM" booth.

Tropa/Dormitory. In our tropa, well, we haven't exactly had a complete night out yet and in a long time. I'm up for it, but I'm still undergoing that obsessive friendship hangover. In the dorms, we're fixing things up for the Lasallian Days... I hope. Lechon and everything at my dorm! Yehey! I should be planning a party or something. Bring out the stereo system... get some tables... and have classmates over.

Have you ever needed something so bad you can't, sleep at night? (Best Friend)

Have you ever tried to find the words but they dont, come out right? (Badge)
