If it only rained a bit harder...
Today the people of the Philippines headed to the polls to vote on the new leaders of our country. All that while I stayed dry at home and had an old friend come over. I also enjoyed the duration of the afternoon watching the downpour.
I woke up in the afternoon and had brunch in bed. The air was cold to a crisp with the air condition blasting at its coolest possible setting, and might I add, on a cloudy and rainy day.
I had forgotten that I was expecting Rom, my batchmate and good friend since high school, would be coming over after he himself cast his ballot in Binakayan.
Mom came in surprised that Rom showed up at the gate because I forgot to tell her I was having someone over. I was watching the live feed of the Survivor All Stars Finale. They were at this critical part, and the live feed has no commercials, so I ran outside of my room and dashed to the gate just to unlock it, frantically telling Rom to hurry up and get in.

On Amber being the luckiest
It was funny how Rom kept asking questions about how Survivor works out. I was watching attentively as the final tribal council was held. A lot of the footage was bitter! I liked what Shii Ann said "Don't throw rocks inside of glass houses...", some kind of proverb I supposed. She said it all.
Rob and Amber played the game. Yes, friendships were destroyed in that game. But, it is a game! Rob and Amber played it and hurt peoples' feelings... but look at them... they made it to the final two. As much as I believe most of those in the jury were stupid to let the duo reach the top. They couldn't sacrifice one tribal council to destroy the duo... so it came right back at 'em.
When Rob won a challenge and got a new truck, he took his partner Amber along for the treat to watch a drive-in movie. In the drive-in movie, a new car was waiting for whoever Rob decided to share his reward with... which was Amber.
Amber got a new car, she became engaged to Rob after he proposed to her on front of millions of viewers on CBS, all that just moments before she won $1,000,000 and the title of Sole Survivor of Survivor All Stars. She got it all!

A 'home' gym buddy
After a few minutes of watching the start of the tally, which I might mention was so high tech, we decided to hit the little gym.
Like always I prepared myself a tall glass of chocolate Enervon HP and brought my fitness journal out. My fitness journal has all the records of exercises or routines and their respective poundage.
I turned up the stereo system loud in the living room since the lightning outside was getting on my nerves. They played "Everytime" by Britney Spears and that song just fits the mood. I saw the video the other night and it happens to star one of my favorite Hollywood actors, Stephen Dorff, in it. He's the villain in Blade, if you don't remember. (Britney, by the way, pulls out another controversy with this video since she supposedly commits suicide in it. It's also a nod to hurting her non-showbiz former lover in Las Vegas a few months ago.)
Enough about that. It was a more concentrated work out for me earlier this afternoon. It was also the third day in a row for using the home gym.
Rom and I took turns and he followed my program. But of course, he used 10-20 pounds additional to what I was using. We belong in different weight classes that's why.
I think we spent two hours there. Night came and the mosquitos were coming in and out of the rain.

Halalan Night
We watched more updates from the tally. It so happens that FPJ and GMA are neck and neck with each other. It's frightening! As I type this post, they are still counting and it could be anyone still. The Vice Presidential race is also a tight one.
I would have voted for LACSON or ROCO for President. My Vice would be AQUINO. For Senators, hmm.. never thought about that much. For Congressmen, I don't really care much there. For Mayor, DEL ROSARIO.
I'm already 18 but I can't register! Citizenship issues.
I took one hot shower and it felt good! I just have to blog that. I also looked in the mirror (obviously when you work out, you tend to notice as much details of the changes to your body). I'm proud to say after a few weeks of this program that I've noted some changes! Let's just hope these changes become permanently notable in two to three months and that progress continues... without stop.
Dinner was steak, prepared by my mom. I also opened up a can of Century Tuna (Hot and Spicy) that Rom and I had. He started to get sipon and I laughed at that.
He left later and I returned to my room to fix up my bags for tomorrow. I'm swamped with paperwork. I've just volunteered to help the managing editor -or- my good friend Tom that I will create the official HF Competitive Exam brochure and flyer.
It should've been my job in the first place! As Copy Editor, I still have no pending tasks at the moment. My job comes in during deadline and layouting times. Right now, my hands are somewhat free in HF.

A jewel in the latest season
This evening's episode of "Charmed", one of my favorite shows especially during my days in high school, just went back up on my scale. The episode this evening had a glimpse of the future where baby Wyatt (Piper's son) has turned into one hell of a powerful sorcerer of some sort.
Chris, the mysterious whitelighter from the future who's been with the Charmed Ones since the end of last season, is actually Piper's 2nd son and has returned to the past to stop Wyatt from turning evil.
The episode was brilliant in my opinion. They revived that soft tune from "Morality Bites" from the 2nd Season when the three original Charmed ones traveled 10 years into the future to witness the future witch trials. That tune, which I thought would never be heard again because Charmed has re-invented itself again and again the past few seasons, was played.
Chris' girlfriend, Bianca, was also one hot babe. To have a girlfriend who also has abilities. It reminded me of that desire to have a girlfriend that is parallel to my own strengths and weaknesses. The whole Bonnie and Clyde thing brought back to life. The two of us against the world. Bull. Here I go again.
I loved the episode, it's a definite classic. And these "classics" have become rare with the sexy and bold flavor Charmed has offered since Paige (Rose McGowan) came on board. I like the creativity these episodes offer (Charmed ones become goddesses, Phoebe becomes a mermaid once, Piper becomes a 'Queen' Arthur, Isle of Valhalley o Norse Gods gets involved)... but the classic episodes have become rare.

Because yesterday was Mother's Day
Here are some pictures from the Mother's Day Dinner we had at Kingbee Chinese Restaurant in General Trias. It was also a mini blow-out for me becoming one of eleven editors of the official student publication of our university.
