PAUL-KRISTOFFER GRADUATES HIGH SCHOOL

The days of Atheneum has come to another end. This time it's for my brother Paul and the Class of 2005 at that school. He has been studying there since he was in the 4th Grade (I started during the last half of 1st Year HS).

When I joined my parents for Paul's graduation, I realized that my connections to the school have slowly disappeared. It just makes me feel that I'm really more part of the alumni family.

I only saw three batchmates during the event. Rowena Olaes, Veejay Siongco, and Neil Janabajal. I've seen Rowena post-graduation and I see Veejay at DLSU-D sometimes, but I haven't seen Neil since we marched on stage in 2002. He looks the same, I couldn't spark up a chat with him though.

I heard the new song for the school. It was an issue before, but it was only now that I got to hear them say "Amcanians" instead of "Atheneans" like how we used to be known. Something to defer the confusion if we're from Ateneo? I don't know, but Amcanians sounds different. Like it's some undiscovered civilization during the days of the Roman Empire.

"Pull up the bridges! The Amcanians are upon the horizon!"

Paul will be enrolling in May at DLSU-DasmariƱas. He will be taking the sister course of Broadcast Journalism which is AB Communication. He is currently in block section COM1-1 for school year 2005-2006.

He loves writing in Filipino (check his blog) and is into basketball. Two characteristics opposite from yours truly, hehe. He was the Sports Editor of The Angles at Atheneum. I'm already telling him to join Heraldo Filipino in his 1st Year college to develop his skills faster.

Congratulations Paul on your HS graduation. I already mentioned everything else in my card. It's only an end to one thing and a beginning to another.
