St. Benedict, Alabang Town Center, and Southmall

Today was the first and only day this past summer that I toured a few places around the southern edges of the Metro. My brother Paul graduated from Level 2 Basketball (the MILO thing) at St. Benedict College in Alabang. The place was neat and clean. We went to the Town Center, and it was my first time. I bought a new pair of shoes... the first time I bought a new pair of sneakers in like four years. Eeew I bet you're all saying. It's explained like this... when we left Japan we made sure we stored ourselves with two pairs of shoes. Those pairs I wore in 1st-2nd year HS and 3rd-4th year HS. So basically I haven't purchased any sneakers in ages.

A relief I might add, for one thing I won't ever wear those filty sneakers I had at the end of my High School. The layers on the sides were falling off already.

Later on at Southmall I brought my list of things to gear me up for DLSU-D within two weeks. It ranged from a small Bulletin board to keep my notes and reminders in front of me inside my dorm room... to even a dumbell to complete a 2nd pair at home. We ate at Popeyes, a favorite fast food restaurant of my family back on the bases in Japan. Thanks to Nikki who gave me the heads up of it's existence at Southmall last 4th Year High School.

We went in circles around this square mall... I say this compared to Town Center which had architecture and design. Town Center had sliding doors! Sliding doors baby!!! YEAAAAH!! Haha, as if I haven't seen Sliding doors ever before. They were everywhere in Japan... all the "7-11s" there (the 7-11s there were called "Family Mart" or something like that, and colored green) had sliding doors. Everything in Japan... haha, the supermarkets had sliding doors.... and in the Philippines I only remember seeing them at the airport. When I approached a sliding door earlier at Town Center, for a moment I froze.... even wondering what if it didn't open when I stood in front of it... =) *LOL*

So there. I come home with some of the things I plan to work with in DLSU-D. "Ms. Hellfire" (2.09) is in Japanese on BS2. My big TV is still broken, and I'm watching from the small TV from my parents room. We're air conditioned tonight, even after riding inside a CAR earlier. Yes, a CAR!!! Well, an old car. A muscle car... the 1978 Lancer. The car is like 7 years older then me, it's my cousins who bought it and fixed it up to look nice. Like the story of the sliding door... I'm getting used to riding in an OWNER/SERVICE with exposure to the polluted air that riding in a seat-belt vehicle with air condition just gives you that extra relief effect. Um ok.

Other then that I plan to stay at home tomorrow to catch up on my workout schedule. I was hyped up last Sunday and Monday, and I took a break on Tuesday and today as the cardinal rule says. I'll resume tomorrow, and with a new dumbell to complete a new pair... i'll work harder!! Roar. Haha. And I'm going to darken this BLOG. It's starting to appear all polite without intrigue... or drama. I'll darken the colors, change some things... anyways, Night blogger.

A Correction to the entry "Hail to thee our Alma Mater..."

First of all, the entry below does have a lot of typos. It seems that whole day was such a stir that it changed my typing style. It's a very very long entry and around the end I had mentioned this. [The whole thing was fun. I didn't see any familiar faces whatsoever.] This would be mis-understood by many, I switched motives instantly and the combination of these two sentences made the whole thing wrong. [The whole thing was fun.] explains that I did enjoy the orientation. AND [I didn't see any familiar faces whatsoever.] wasn't fun, it was kind of sad. I really didn't see anyone I knew from Atheneum or even anywhere. So it wasn't fun seeing no familiar faces whatsoever. (i'm too lazy to edit that extremely long long entry, so i posted the correction here.)
