Carpe Noctem (Seize the Night) - Week #9
NOTE: this is a post that is made prior to moving back to the dorm and is usually posted on sunday nights.
Three days of Organizations swordfighting and Two days of partying swept last week. This week, I'm going to steadily exert more effort in Academics. I've made a list of Pros and Cons between VPAPU (production unit) and HERALDO FILIPINO (school paper). So far it's leaning towards HERALDO FILIPINO.
However, I've decided to try and hold off any critical decision making until after the Mid Term results come out. If my grades show in any small way a problem after the Mid Terms, I must make a cautious decision. One failing grade will eliminate you from HERALDO FILIPINO automatically, and in VPAPU there will be consideration.
On the other hand, if my grades have improved and I'm confident I can maintain improvements... then I will resign as a Probationary member of VPAPU and exert more time and effort for the HERALDO FILIPINO, and who knows from there. I might join my friends Eric and Maycee as we are promoted a step higher to Junior Staffers or something.
So ACADEMICS is something I want to focus much on this week. The BUWAN NG WIKA and BEAU MONDE (VPAPU mock show) are up this week. Probably the 2nd Round of HERALDO FILIPINO assignments as well.
I'm leaving the house in a medium mood. I study and work for six days a week, and it's only on Sunday that I can actually relax and surf the net, or enjoy being back in my room. Yet, it's almost the same story every weekend. With my dad in the states, my mom gets more stressful with my overload of Laundry coming in. I do my best to calm her down, and it works. But she ends up blaming me for all the small things.
Like last night before Mass, she accidentally left the Water Tank filling. So it would cost us extra on our electric bill. I told her it's by accident and that's understandable. But she kept going on and on about how it was her fault, how tired she was... then she'd shift it to me and tell me indirectly that I didn't help her as much in the afternoon.
At least I admit my faults when I make them, I say SORRY and mean it. I don't blame others, I step back and observe.
My mom has to stay home because she has to attend a PARENT-TEACHER meeting at Old Atheneum later. That means the driver is taking me to DLSU-D right now. I'm leaving, so good day and here's to a good week.
