A Morning at My Parent's Home Barangay
Went to church already. It was a special mass for Sto. Rosario and the Hermana Mayor stuff. My mom has been a member there since way back and when we were abroad my late Grandmother would be the substitute.
The weather was hot at the same time it was my first visit to Bgy. Julugan as a College guy. Last time I went there was last summer I think. The place is the same... well the surroundings. It was my Grandmother's 1st Year Death Anniversary yesterday and my Grandfather's 1st is on November 17th. My grandparents' house has changed a bit. I saw an extension of a store on the front porch. I had flashbacks of back then when my family and I would arrive into that old house directly from NAIA. Now, that house was just there facing the dusts of time.
After the mass, there was the traditional parade and march towards the Hermana Mayor's house. The place wasn't so far and we took my cousin's tricycle. The house wasn't a house, it was a mansion in the middle of old houses. The place was set up okay and it was fairly quiet. People ate and they held a bunutan (pick a piece of paper) to see the Sto. Rosario 2003 peoples... which included the next Hermana Mayor and other related stuff like who would fund for a certain mass prior to next year's event.
We left for Blancaflor Photo where my mom and brother got their 8x10 photos taken for our US Retired Service Identification Card which expires next week. I hesitated and would get my 8x10 at SM Bacoor on Monday because all this morning my Gel "evaporated" in the heat which left me with a plain old bagsak (straight, boring, dull, going down hair) hairstyle... er... let's just say hair. That's what bothers me the most about my day... if I don't have Gel and my hair is just dull... I hate that!!
I txt'd my classmate Jerson and we cancelled our plan to going to the Gym today. (1) The gym is supposedly half day on Sundays AND (2) he has places to go with his friends and I feel like going home since it's a hot day.
Next stop was to get my brother some Prepaid which was at a store right across Jollybee Tanza and next door to the tasty and juicy Andoks Chicken. Inside both my brother and I bought a new casing. A blue and black one for his 3210 and a nice, clean, green one for my 3350. We left for home.
And now I'm at home on a Hot Sunday lunch hour. Joy and I spoke late last night and we both loaded our friends' blogs and journals and spoke about how they were doing. We agreed on the following: Erika is really into Literature, her blogs have nice fic references and fics themselves. Bryan on the other hand is someone we both agreed was posting a little bit depressing. Joy and I also enjoyed Candy's UJ and LJ... both with cute pictures... the one in Candy's LJ had a "scary" anime lady in black! Before we got to our blogs and journals which we saved for last, my mom told me to get off the phone and go to sleep because of this morning's mass.
Hopefully we can continue that call from last night. And I still want to talk to Enrico...
