Carpe Noctem (Seize the Night) - Opening Week #18
NOTE: this is a post that is made prior to moving back to the dorm and is usually posted on sunday nights.
I've dedicated this weekend to resting and to preparing for the FINALS examination this incoming week. I've also used time to finally upgrade my blog.
This past weekend has been just that. I did catch 2nd episode of "The West Wing" third season. I'm beginning to really like that show. Yes, it's a drama. But it seems to be the only drama that I'm attracted to. I'm honestly bored with NYPD Blue, Law and Order, The Practice, so on and so forth. But this show, "The West Wing", is just amazing. It got a record amount of nominations from the Emmy's, and the way this show is made, runs, and lasts is just a masterpiece. In fact, the grand opening theme is still in my head.
We also went to Church at the Tanza Bayan for the first time in like ages. The atmosphere was the same and my cousin used his tricycle to get us around. We visited Mariolito to print my brother's project for his Filipino class back in my old High School.
For dinner it was Andoks and rice. Tasty, very juicy chicken, and an airconditioned room with the Season Ender of Grosse Pointe on Studio 23 including Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Which leads to [Buffy's] 6th Season starting tomorrow. [Smallville's] Grand premiere on Tuesday. [Dark Angel's] 2nd and Last Season on Wednesday. The 2nd episode of [The Amazing Race 3] on Thursday. And the 4th episode of [Survivor 5: Thailand] on Friday. A total week and complete day-to-day series of great shows.
And Studio 23 has changed it's format again and at long last! It's awesome!! They keep improving! Away with those green dots and shapes and in with the wavy, slick, and fading circles! The commercials are exciting to watch, even the commercial to yet another Charmed rerun tomorrow.
Let's backstep more. Last Saturday I woke up from sleeping on Kurt's bed in F11, a few rooms down from my dorm room. I slept over at Joel's for the heck of it. Joel also let this black cat sleep in the room, which Kuwait-grown Basil from F9 "dubbed thee" as FELIX.
So FELIX the cat.
I had completed my Sining/Basic Filipino exam with my classmates last Thursday which rendered me free to choose to attend the last Basic Filipino class on Saturday. I was going to attend to watch Lance, Basil, Karl, Brian, and the rest of them do some Tagalog speech when I found out that the breezy comfort of Kurt's powerful Gym electric fan kept me asleep and feeling good in F11 rather than the trapped F3 I lived in.
Zoom ahead towards the afternoon and up until I get home. The UAAP Final Game between ADMU and DLSU was on and DLSU lost as ADMU took it's championship position after, what, 14 whole years! This also ended DLSU's 4-year winning streak.
After that I believe throughout all the DLSU's, mainly DLSU-M (Taft) but also DLSU-D (Dasma), txt messages would flow with comic relief about how the Archers lost. Here are some msgs.
From D0RM: KURT:
God dsnt gve us always wut we want..
God dsnt gve us wat we need..
But God always give us wat we deserve...
Congratulations ATENEO BLUE EAGLES!!!!
And a very funny one from G7: ERIKA:
A true archer knws how to ut down his arrow
when he sees a young eagle determined to fly.ü
he is humble in victory and gracious in defeat.ü
animo lasalle! -Kai
Yep. I guess I understand too. La Salle did win for the past four years and Ateneo back in the late 1980s... so why complain, there's still next year.
ANEEMO... LAH-SAHL!!!

So now it's Monday early early early AM and I've just about fixed this blog. I was supposed to do much more like finish those FAQ, PROFILE, and GALLERY pages but I had to study a few notes.
Here's to the last week of the First Semester of Freshmen year College. Hopefully I am able to concentrate on my studies ALL this week to the nth level.
