A Week before the Finals

Things are changing and the Finals are coming. It's Thursday. The Lunduyan Seminar at ADMU this Friday to Sunday is still on but our University has cut funding our free trip there because the school said that this seminar is on the weekend prior to the finals and it will not tolerate that. So basically if we were going, we would not be excused and we would have to pay hundreads of pesos.

I am still willing to go. Because this thing exposes you to true Filipino journalism and brings you to a room filled with the voices of award-winning journalists.

However, due to my "satisfactory" grades which I greatly need to improve on... I won't be attending. Barely anyone is going. On Saturday the HF will resort to a general clean-up of the office and Christmas decorating.

In other news, the VARIETY SHOW last Tuesday did make our Professor enjoy the whole thing. But from my perspective it was a complete disaster. Although Jerson did provide a Mobile, which included technicals like big speakers and party lights... the Technical aspect of the whole thing was wrecked by unorganized tapes.

My personal segment to the show, the "Promotional Trailer for Telecast Journal: The Official Website of the AB Broadcast Journalism 2002-2006 Class", was all set. It was created only the day before, but one simple run-through could have been the equivalent of a successful, simple performance. Most members of my segment practiced, however some others were practicing for other segments they were part of. And the timing was all wrong. I'd have 2 members with me at one time, then those two would move ahead and another member would arrive, it was disasterous there too.

At least our Professor enjoyed it.
And all the BroadJourn on-campus dorm occupants had their IDs confiscated for arriving way late since the show was located off-campus at the Maneullaville Gymnasium.

Lately it's been those final gasps prior to the Finals. And every night starting Wednesday there's an AB COM play. The three sections, COM4-1, COM4-2, and COM4-3... the kings and queens of the AB COM this year (seniors)... have presentations. I guess I'll be watching. Tonight is Day 2 of the AB COM Film Festival.

That's all. Over and Out.
