Today was the opening of the Cultural Arts Month, and with it was a grand celebration wherein all the PAG Organizations would perform at key locations around the campus. Pop Band at the Rotonda/Main gate. Chorale at La Buena Comida. Teatro Lasalliana at the SBC Grounds. Pointes and Flexes at the Lake Park. Brass Band at the Admin and the Filipiniana at the CBA Grounds. And of course, VPAPU everywhere.
I encountered most of the officers and of course a very busy Mam Joy, the first time I've had contact with these people after I decided to jump ship.
Honestly the feeling was odd. Seeing my PAG-affiliated classmates with their excuse letters, their extra clothes, their way of being busy reminded me of how I felt like before. Being part of a production unit that caters to the needs of these other PAG organizations.
The kind of busy it is now is the busy relating to articles, deadlines, and issues relating to the Heraldo Filipino. There aren't anymore nightly production meetings, no more laughs with Sai, Jerwyn of COM1-1, and my other former batchmates at VPAPU. I decided to leave VPAPU and I am reminded this week of what I left behind.
I'm not re-considering though. I've really decided I can't handle the intense planning of VPAPU and PAG. Only if my grades were higher last Semester, then there'd be a chance I can still juggle the two (HF and VPAPU). But this Semester, I'm crushing any High School bad habits and inferiority complexes; and staging an all-out return to excellent grades and generally improved study habits.
I sure hope I'm going the right way now. One Org taken down, and Academics hot on the rebound.
The WF Schedules Premiere!
Wednesdays and Fridays have the same schedule for Core JOU1-1. Classes start at 8:30am, a new starting time of classes if we compare it to last sem's 7AM Tuesday till Friday.
It also happens to be the heavier set of classes compared to the T and H, or Tuesday and Thursday set. On Tuesdays and Thursdays we only have 2 permanent subjects, while the 3rd subject will be NSTP for Tuesday and SWIMMING for Thursday.
Anyways, we met 4 professors. 2 of them are new. For Elementary Statistics and Reed 2, they are new. For "Pagsulat at Pagbasa..." (FILI123) we have Dr. Lakandupil Garcia once again! (from last sem's "Sining ng Kommunikasyon", and also my Prof in the Basic Fil class on saturdays before).
In Biological Science, we have a new professor but our Ecology teacher from last Sem, Ms. Mercurio, substituted.
Other than the four classes, it was in and out visits to the Heraldo Filipino. A Staffers Meeting at 1pm took me away from the fun performances the PAG were having outside during the Wednesday University Break. We spoke about the Palad (Literary Folio of HF) and the commitees, and the seminar/workshop to be hosted by the HF to the contributers of the Palad.
No news assignments yet. I'm not even in the News section but I hunger for more experience and deadlines. In Features, it's down to one article about the 3 plays the AB Com did last October 1st to 3rd.
Kuya Rheyan and I were to go to the gym, but we didn't since we wearn't prepared. Instead, we joined Jhen at ERS and then Leah and Keith met up with us. Then I think Endrea, Christine, and company decided to surf as well since they're sitting across from us.
Tonight it's DARK ANGEL, and Lance and I are getting a little more closer to Mark, from F1. In fact, Lance and Mark spoke for a long time last night... and to add all the talking time last night in F3... we must've spoken for five or six hours!
