A PACKAGE FROM AFAR
Carpe Noctem (Seize the Night) - Start of Week #22

NOTE: this is a special weekly posting that is made prior to moving back to my dorm in La Salle. it is about upcoming events this week and notes on it. this is usually posted on sunday afternoons.

Dad's package finally arrived, after over a month from getting from the USA to the Philippines. My brother Paul received his Gamecube with two games namely Super Smash Brothers Melee and Luigi Manshion. Both games are alright, it's just the thrill of it wasn't that strong.

Part of me said, a lot of money went into his Gamecube, two games, extra controller, etc. Then it should be all fun and excitement but it's all just "cool, we got one now". I didn't attach myself too much to his Gamecube, I attached myself to the simple things that can really affect my life.

How asking my dad to sending me rolls of camera film and a whole pack of VHS tapes. I am a media junkie! Just four rolls of KODAK film, 24 shots each, is enough to drive me to take pictures till January or February of next year! No more worries for "lack of film". And with VHS tapes, five of them in a pack, I can record my favorite shows and edit tapes without worrying about "lack of tapes".

He sent me a nice black t-shirt and the only "specialty" item is a brand new wrist watch. I kind of wanted a Digital and Analog clock in one, but all I got was an Analog. I'm still having trouble re-adjusting into reading the Analog hands.

Slim Jim beef jerky, Pop Tarts, are some snacks to name. And one trip to the foreign goods section of Robinsons Imus bagged us TicTac Orange in packets, Kraft Mac'n'Cheese, and Countrytime Lemonade in a Soda can.

My room is stocked with foreign goods this past weekend.

I spent all of today playing GAMECUBE while I can before another week of College life begins. Sunday is the only time I can relax from the busy life at La Salle.

Anyways, this upcoming week is headstrong in Academics. Heraldo Filipino articles aren't due until the first week of December. It's also a week filled with birthdays. Emil Baysa was yesterday (Saturday, November 23) while tomorrow November 25th is Cindy's, as well as G7 Bryan's birthday, and on the 26th is Ate Angge's birthday.

Advanced to all the birthday celebrants this week.

I'm packed now and ready to return into La Salle. The night time life of moving in. It's no longer those Monday morning rush like last semester, but instead a dark, cold, and often bumpy road to DasmariƱas.

By the way, the Christmas Lights are up. Not as exciting as last year or the year before, but at least we're still putting them up.
