The Final Hour of Our Year

Moulin Rouge repeated twice... the closing credits music is the soundtrack of this evening. A quiet celebration over here in my house. A Music festival with the end of Magic 89.9's "Year-End Countdown". #1 Song this year is "Dilemma" by Nelly and Kelly Rowland.

Sad. It's sad our year has come to an end. The year I graduated in, the year I started college.

How many times did I type "2002" in my computer? More times than any other year. More times than writing my own "1985" down. Atheneum Batch of 2002... Class 2002... Miss Atheneum 2002... June 2002... December 31 2002. Image archives are labeled with "2002s".

The skies outside. Dark, cloudy, a bit of rain as the last beam of sunlight this year vanished. Popcorn sounds in all directions. Still, I am sad. I got too attached to the year 2002... in just a few minutes it'll all be over. A new year for somebody else.... but something I've learned just now. A year does not belong to anyone, it belongs to the person thinking about it. I'm not sure if that makes sense though.

"One great year. Tremendous changes. Unforgettable moments. Moving onwards from the trapped atmosphere of High School and moving ahead into a greater culture. The culture of College." - George, on 2002

See YOU on the other side (next year and next template) I've got txt msgs to send and lusis to light up.

Farewell 2002..... Happy 2003!
