I'M STILL GPUTZ FROM THE BLOCK
Carpe Noctem (Seize the Night) - Start of Week #24
NOTE: this is a special weekly posting that is made prior to moving back to my dorm in La Salle. it is about upcoming events this week and notes on it. this is usually posted on sunday afternoons.

I'm still, I'm still Gputz from the block
Used to have a little, now I have a lot
No matter where I go, I know where I came from (Atheneum)
High school returnst his week, somehow. It started last Sunday when it was the eve of G7 Nikki's birthday. I met with G7 Erika, G7 Joy, and of course the celebrant. G7 Lance joined us after we ate at KRR.
After seeing them, it's likely I'll be seeing more faces from the past this Thursday when the High School I graduated from will host Miss Atheneum 2003. One year ago, I experienced the thrill and turmoil of being one of the hosts (shit, I'm having a flashback). I was together with G7 Candy. I admit that even as friends, we don't have good chemistry together up on stage.
It was a fun experience at the same time a disasterous one because I had failed in adlib and I probably looked like a dummy up there.
But only with all I have learned this past year. The confidence, the voice, and the skills of announcing. I could change it all. I would probably be filled with lively adlibs, jokes, and fun for the audiences.
According to my brother, this year's hosts aren't even Fourth year. (Batch 2003, formerly filled with the "extra cool" is now the "extra inactive", as so I have heard and felt). The hosts this year are Marvin Olaes (2nd year) and /joyce Tan (3rd year, Miss Camp 2000).
I'm already seeing Lance gear up for it. With his style sharpening up with the presence of Aldrich (if he's sharpening up his style, I would be shaping up mine), Lance looks like he is preparing a lot for Miss A on Thursday.
On the other hand, I'm not. I want to go casual and I want to go there pleased and happy with who I am now. A student at De La Salle University - Dasmariñas. Happy working with the University paper. Promoted from Researcher to Writer of the AB Comm Channel - Com TV. Sheesh. Take that for all the things I've missed the past three and a half years!
This Thursday is the only time I feel like I want to revisit my roots. See former teachers, share a conversation or two with them. Watch Miss Atheneum 2003 and support Angely (3rd year, friend through "The Angles" school paper website team in my Senior Year).

Other than Thursday, this incoming week will be the last week prior to the Preliminary Exams. Christmas Parties for the NSTP-CWTSP will be held at Bgy. Bautista for the lesser fortunate kids. On that same day (Tuesday) we'll be having a DLSU-D Campus Dormers' Christmas PArty... the first gathering of this kind for both the guys and girls who dorm on campus.
Swimming will also be on Thursday prior to the Miss Atheneum 2003 pageant. I'm excited because I want to do more laps and keep practicing bwcause I think I'm finally getting to know how tos wim or at least I'm starting to know how to float longer than before. It's our Preliminary in Swimming too.
That seems to be it for now. Here's to another great week at La Salle!
