PRESSURE COMING DOWN ON ME
The Damage Report - End of Week #33

NOTE: A Weekly Summary of events and happenings I've experienced at La Salle.

"A short week could still demand so much."

I'M tired, very very tired. Well, actually, as long as the weight of those articles were on my back, I grew more lazy and more tired. But the feeling after I submitted them was like having a train be lifted off my back.

I entered La Salle on Wednesday morning just in time for Elementary Statistics. My guilt was still there, but then she called everyone for their grades. She called me and I was petrified by the sight of my Midterm results... 2.50! I could have fainted right there on the spot, but I just couldn't. I was expecting something like 1.50 or 1.75. Although my interest in the subject isn't that strong, I thank the Midterm Multiple-choice exam. Hopefully the Finals exam is just like that because I am not getting the lessons lately.

I didn't sit in during Filipino, but instead joined the half of my class that went on field work and meetings already at the kubo. For Biological Science, we had a substitute and the discussion was the Reproductive System. But these AB Psychology upperclass girls needed males for their Psychology experiment. Quarter till dismissal, all the guys in Broadjourn1-1 left the room and we headed down the hall into the Psychology Lab.

There, guys from COM1-1 and another AB Com section gathered. We had to wait a long long time just for the nurse to come in and get the blood pressure and the heartbeat count. After nearly 30 minutes of simply waiting, the experiment began. On a projector, they showcased FHM-style pictures of women. Not totally naked, but they have see-through tops. Their poses were also bold and daring just like in an FHM. An old FHM, perhaps from last November. (thanks to dormitory life and joel's collection)

Afterwards, we answered a questioneer about our reactions to seeing near-naked women. Honestly speaking, the pictures wearn't exactly that stimulating. I mean, because "we've seen them already". Come March issue of FHM, that's where the thrill lies. ^_^

We were starving, and this psychological experiment consumed our breaktime. But good thing they gave everyone some take-out Macaroni, in which Eric, Jerson, William, Keith and I enjoyed downstairs in JFH 204 before Reed2.

Joel sat in during Wednesday's Reed2.

I found out after class the results of the AB Com Channel new recruits. I wanted a lot in my class to join, but it seems only Ara and Ayesha applied. Ara, already a member of Crossbars Media Production, didn't pass into the AB Com Channel. However, Ayesha did. Meaning, I now have a fellow classmate with me in the AB Com Channel.

I still had articles to submit and interviews to conduct. I went to the CLEAPS office to interview their Dean about events for an article on that college for the HF collegiate news. I also confirmed some information for my CLASC article for the newsletter. But, I was slow to type these. Including the Media Awareness Days' article with Kay Mori.

In the evening, Lake Park was the venue of this year's Liadays (i can't get the name down correctly, but that's how it's pronounced) where classmate Charmagne Diaz performed "Dancing Queen" with some guy. My class didn't really know about this event so they couldn't watch. COM1-3 had representatives in the Men's category and the Women's category. Charmagne couldn't participate in this pageant since she's already 2nd Runner-up for Bb. La Salle this year. (at the start of this semester)

Thursday brought us back with Mr. Mansueto for English1. We went surfing at ERS before entering the CVR to catch Part One of "Jesus", for a make-up class in Reed2. It was very interesting.

In Sociology, we met Ms. Aguilar again who just returned from her Maternal Leave. She's not that bad afterall... she can now stand up and talk to the class and answer our questions. In PE-Swimming, it was the first part of the Finals.

I took my treading quiz for missing it last week when I was sick. Because I grew so tired from the treading, I had to take a break. But since the treading quiz was at the same time with the Finals examination (where three classmates would take it on three different lanes from one side of the pool to the other)... I couldn't recover enough energy to take my Finals exam. Meaning, next week I'll have the pressure of taking both required laps. I'm worried, but hopefully I can accomplish it.

After swimming, we had a meeting at JFH for the AB Com Channel. That's were I attended my first Executive Board meeting. Awesome. I'm part of an Executive Board.... I never expected it. This is my first time serving as an officer in College. ^_^

Aye took down notes and she's assigned to COM-A-TALK, the documentary making unit, and the one I worked in over the past few months. But I'm now assigned to COM-TV, the regular shows unit, together with COM2-3 friends Hanni and Jude. Joanna Buenaventura, has resigned from her position as the new Segment Producer of COM-TV. I only found out during the meeting and I was kind of shocked. I'll have to talk to her in person to ask questions.

Friday was all about taking quizzes and submitting assignments. For the past three nights at La Salle (Wednesday night, Thursday night, and Friday night) they've had small concerts. From the Liadays Pageant last Wednesday night, to something on Thursday night at Lake Park, and Senior Mania at the Plaza (awesome venue, I might add)... it was all fun-filled. Funny, I only attended the first one.

I worked to complete all my articles remaining for the HF... all of which were a week and a half late!

Saturday was working on the Research Paper for Filipino with Judy. We spent this time at the Library.
