BACK TO GOOD OL' SM BACOOR

I just completed Day 3 of this compulsary Summer Term. It was the first actual day of the lectures and the first actual day both Professors showed up for their classes. English 102 is lively and with my mind clear of my fear of numerical formulas and scientific theories, I can now breathe and give all my subjects my very very best from now and onwards.

However, 30 minutes into the first full-pledged lecture in [Philosophy of Man] you would find me dozing it off for a few seconds. I was "game" to study Philo but I wasn't prepared that it could possibly be a sleeper-subject. You know. A subject where the Professor could talk on and on and when you miss two or three words of her discussion the whole thing falls apart.

Somewhere between the General Forms of Existencialism some Legend of Sisiput or something like that, I got lost. The words made sense at first, but the hot temperature (read: 100 F now in Manila) made me wish I was at a beach with Nikki, Bryan, a few classmates and Aldrich. I imagined sipping on this tall ice cold glass of Pomelo and next thing I know my head jolts up. I had fallen asleep. I looked slightly to my left to see if Eric noticed or to my right to see if Christian could have noticed, then I looked up at the Professor as she continued to talk.

My goal now is to "get into the mainstream". To not swim underneath the classroom scene. To surf on the waves. If in any way I have the chance to say something, I will. If I can interact in the discussion (if the classroom is reacting) then I will do so more than ever just to keep my eyelids open.

After class I ran into Basil and Allen (dorm mates) near the dorms, which aren't in my possession for the time being. I found out that the Heraldo Filipino's Year End Seminar might be in Baguio on April 25 to 27. BAGUIO?! If Jezire's trip next week is still pulling through, and if I'm included in the Year End Seminar... that would make THREE TRIPS TO BAGUIO in one month. That's insane!

Speaking of Baguio, I got my first set of pictures developed. They're not so bad. Of course, those stolens that Brian took really suck but seeing my best friend Joel sitting on a horse looking lame and bored made me laugh. I'll get them up in my galleries this weekend.

I ate with my classmates Eric, Kate, and Emil at SBC and we went to the Stalls to Photocopy some assignment papers. Jerson, Ayesha, and Ara had joined us. Than, we all went home.

Eric, Jerson, and I were in a Zapote-bound jeepnee. The first time the three of us were in a Jeepnee at the same time. Eric got off at his stop just a kilometer past the Imus Palengke. Jerson and I went into SM Bacoor and I picked up my Baguio pictures from Island Photo. I met my mom, brother, and driver at Burger King and Jerson left.

Somewhere along browsing the mall, Tom Chen, a recent graduate of my High School, passed by. He's going to DLSU-M taking up BSM. I thought it was Business Management (Tom is into businesses since HS... heheh) but he said BSM is Mathematics. So he's taking up Education? I affirmed "I heard you guys are the Taft bunch." and he said "Yep. We have the highest graduating status yata yata yatta."

Well, they can go to Taft and become Lasalistas. People who go to breezy DasmariƱas become Lasalyanos. Heck. ANIMO LA SALLE pa rin. I won't argue.

We went walking around the mall. Mostly just following my mom as she went everywhere just looking for something she might like. We went to the Supermarket and I bought a Pearl Cooler from Greenwich since a commercial on Magic 89.9 made it so tempting to enjoy one during the hot weather.

We went home afterwards.

I still hate commuting. I did look at the Drivers' Co. place on the 1st floor of SM Bacoor. We inquired. P2,500 for 5 hours. Woah. I confirmed I could get a non-professional Drivers' License once I've held onto a Student License for at least a month. I can study how to drive. But drive what? There's no car to drive. Yet...
