Of Chapters, Love, and Politics

English102 was at the library earlier. We just have to finish writing Chapter 2 (we are complete on references and information already) and I might be able to toss in and complete Chapter 3 by Friday. So next week's trip to Intramuros and Baclaran-Las Piñas will be dedicated to Chapter 4 and onwards.

In Philosophy of Man, we discussed "Phenomenology of Love". A long-awaited topic. But believe it or not, despite the laughter, I was very sleepy! I couldn't seem to concentrate when she started to do some deep explaining. I couldn't really relate to everything the class was talking about. It was fun though, nevertheless. The two questions everyone each had to contribute will be answered tomorrow. That'll be the best. We should bring in some CD Player to play us some sentimental tones in the background. Heheh.

Anyways, afterwards and before we could proceed to having a meeting about the Indang Trip this Saturday, Class President Teenah held the elections for SY 2003-2004. The results are as follows.

President
Cristina Aure to Cristina Aure (Outstanding Performance)

Vice President
Meann Balao to Jessica Fenol

Secretary
Jennifer Viceo to Kate Mamon

Treasurer
Jocelyn Castillejos to Ayesha de Celis

Auditor
Katherine Santos

Public Relation Officers
William Eusores
Joanna Paraohao

Class Representative
Rheyan Lipardo to Eric Salta

Congratulations! A lot of my close friends are up there now. And thanks to those who nominated me in some of the positions earlier. I was touched! Heheh. Okay I admit it's a growing frustration. I love JOU1-1 (incoming JOU2-1) and I really want to work for it, but I have failed to attain the confidence of the majority of class. I guess I will work for the class in my own little ways.

'Cause it makes me that much stronger
Makes me work a little bit harder
It makes me that much wiser
So thanks for making me a fighter

But in another sense, it's starting to get to me. I was recently said to be "not that active" in the Heraldo Filipino. I was offended because I've been contributing at least three news articles each towards the past three Broadsheets, and I always do my work for the La Salleño. My by-line has been mistaken twice already (taken by Geralyn Ann Isles 'CLE New Course' in Broadsheet 17-No. 6 and JP Abcede 'A Decade of Pop Culture' in LS 10-No. 4)... but now it has really gotten to me. It's irritating! Arrrggggggh!!!!

Things have toppled on top of each other like crazy now. It must be some mid-summer depression. I have the feeling I have a lot to prove this incoming 2nd Year College...

Made me learn a little bit faster
Made my skin a little bit thicker
Makes me that much smarter
So thanks for making me a fighter
