VISITING THE ROOTS
Carpe Noctem (Seize the Night) - Start of Week #39/4

NOTE: A weekly post made before starting a week of studies at La Salle.

"Two Lunches in my parents home barangay of Julugan..."

THE following week is a complete five-day week of studies. Believe it or not, it's already considered "The Final Term". In English102 I'm hoping we can catch up and start conducting intensive reseach about our topic. My partner is Ate Angge. Our topic is "Wood and Stone: Philippine Church Architecture and Imagery" which will include a two days of visiting churches in Metro Manila to assist us in defense (if there is one) and getting the facts straight. Plus pictures. You can't forget the pictures!

In Philosophy of Man, it's a 6-day thing. Monday to Friday with a Saturday 3 1/2 hour make-up class. I'm starting to understand it. But I know Philosophy won't ever get my total interest of it. It's just too sophisticated in a way that it simply doesn't interest me. "If someone says it's that way and someone else disapproves and says it's his way, until so many people argue their own opinions and thoughts about it... what's the use of asking ourselves when it's all been sorted out and turned into an endless web of thoughts and ideas..."

May 3 (next Saturday) marks the day a few of us in class will go to the Indang Coldsprings to go swimming. I'm hoping this will push through. Because we, as a group of friends and classmates, haven't gone out for any summer activity yet and it's already May!

I'm also going to continue searching for that ideal second-hand car that we can buy when my dad gets here. I'm also hoping that when my dad returns to his homeport in Singapore after a two-day test drive of the USNS John Ericsson this Tuesday that the Captain of the ship will allow him and the other eight or nine co-workers to be able to take their vacation now since they've been waiting for their replacements for nearly a month and a half now.

Here's to another week at La Salle. May it be filled with fun events and happenings.

TITLE IN REVIEW: "Visiting the Roots" because I've spent the past weekend having my Lunches in my parents home barangay in Julugan, Tanza. On Saturday we ate Lunch with my Uncle who came from the States and today we went to Julugan again to eat Lunch at my mom's cousins' house since there was a baptism.
