LOVE IS ABOVE ALL ELSE
The Damage Report - Broadjourn Summer - Ending Week #39/4

NOTE: This is a weekly blog entry that summarizes a series of events of a finished week in and around La Salle.

"...the phenomenology of love..."

THE past week in Philosophy of Man discussed "Phenomenology of Love" and it answered lots of questions that we all had about love. A part of Philosophy that finally has made me interested. Ms. E. de Leon led the discussion and the class listened.

It was earlier that we had the "Ask Ms. de Leon" activity on the topic. We all had to contribute two questions we had about love. She read a lot of questions, one of them was mine. I felt weird when mine ignited a lengthy reaction from the class as it bounced from person to person. Of course the author of these questions would remain anonymous, but I couldn't help but heat up in the classroom and try not to smile when someone answers my question really good.

Later on my classmate Jezire stood up to answer a question. Her opening words "Ako naman, sa case ko..." and then I turned around to listen to her. But when I did that, I felt the whole class staring at me with some love laughter. I was so shocked at the sudden mass attention towards Jezire and myself that I could've had a Cardiac Arrest! I started to blush heavily and sweat like crazy. I hid my face with my hanky and looked down on my desk but I couldn't control myself.

I wasn't angry or anything, it was just "parang ako 'yan". I didn't want to react that way and make it obvious that she was probably referring her case to me, but the class was just smiling... and when something like that happens, I can't maintain a poker face.

With all the sharing, the class witnessed our classmate Katherine Santos (Katz) is kind of an expert in this field. Hmmm... maybe the webmasters should ask her to open up a column for our future website.

There’s always something alluring with the girl next door. She may not be the prettiest, sexiest or richest, but somehow she always manages to lift your spirits with her honest to goodness smile. It seems that you’ve known her all your life—she’s dependable, reliable and trustworthy. In short, she’s like a Toyota Revo.
