NORTHBOUND FOR ILOCUS SUR
Background Music: "Get Busy" by Sean Paul

I head for DLSU-D in just a few hours (when I wake up) and I'll be joining two of my classmates that are co-writers for the Heraldo Filipino. We will be with some editors (dunt-dunn-DUHN), nah... they're not scary. Joke lang yon. According to Ate Joyce (new Managing Editor) we have transportation and we need to bring some swim wear. I recall looking at some paper posted in the office that the destination includes some beach up north.

I've never been farther north than Baguio, which happens to be just recently with the guys (first week of April 2003). So I'm excited to see the place far north. Like really far north. I think they said it's around 9 to 10 hours on the road. What can we do inside of a vehicle for ten hours?! That's insane! Is it a van? Is it a small bus? Is it a big bus for just a few people? I don't know. The mystery of tomorrow terrifies me... electrifies me.

Well as long as I have Eric and Maycee, things should be alright. I also hope this is some kind of bonding trip, if in any way possible. At least in any small way, if we can become closer with some of the editors or some of the other staff if they're coming. I don't want this to be a stiff neck trip up north.

This is the CEGP. The College Editors Guild of the Philippines. Some kind of conference up north. I look at this trip in two perspectives. First, it's getting the job done by representing DLSU-D up north. It's for the Heraldo Filipino. Second, it's a chance for me to sightsee what it's like up in Ilocus Sur. Both Professional and Personal get dibs on this trip.

I'm all packed up now. Here's for tomorrow's long road trip. I'll try and see if I can make a post from Ilocus Sur. I'll be back in Cavite on the 29th or 30th.

And some notes: Welcome back Aldrich!! (for Sunday evening, May 25).
