Preparing for the Defense
I've cooled off a bit now compared to yesterday. I wasn't affected by Maycee's news that the Year-End Seminar which was uncertain for Baguio was cancelled or probably postponed once again. Right now, I don't feel too much a part of the Heraldo Filipino. I mean, I've done what I've needed to get done. They gave me assignments, and I turned them into articles just like normal. I've even asked for more by contributing to the News section. I don't know where it all came from, perhaps it was because I didn't visit the office as frequently as the others. But I can tell you this, I did carry my weight and I did do my work.
Our defense is tomorrow in English102. We will be the third and last group to present at the EMS Center. It's been shown that the last group always gets cut off. Kulang sa oras. I already spoke to one of the other groups tomorrow, Upper. She said they'll be using Powerpoint but they won't take that long with it. The other duo would be Badge and Arazelli with their topic about Astrology.
I'm going to be borrowing Eric's white polo for tomorrow's defense while my partner Ate Angge will be wearing something similar in color. Ate Angge and I agreed on "Black and White" as our clothes for tomorrow. I'm "jumping from ship to ship" today up until tomorrow morning when I see the set-up of the equipment. This is what I have in mind. I will be saving all the image files and visuals of our topic into a series of diskettes, complete with back-up diskettes. I will install these into the Viewing Room's computer tomorrow and set it up with Powerpoint.
Then, I will see how the sound system works to install the Filipiniana music I want to incorporate into the background. I'm hoping we can get the controls to the lights as well to improve the mood of our defense.
Basically I'm hoping that the computer has a projector as I've seen and imagined the past few days. The images and pictures of our topic will be projected onto a screen while the music is playing lightly in the background and the speaker (either Ate Angge or myself) will be at the microphone.
Hopefully all goes well.
As for tonight, it's the Last Season premiere of Dawson's Creek and another new episode of Smallville. I need to get to sleep early for I leave very early tomorrow.
