The further I seem to get...
It has been nearly 16 months since High School ended. It no longer feels like "it was just yesterday". I may say that a few times, but now that I realize it, any scent of those days are behind me. Only those little memories remain.
Changes? An entire world has evolved from before and now. The further I seem to get from those days, the more I seem to hate it even more. That's the truth. I love the true friends I had in High School. The handful of them. The others, together with the worst adviser back then ever possible... could just take a boat and get lost somewhere. I know, that's so cruel. But I believe in Karma. And I think it's making it's round from me to them.
Well, on the brighter side, here's a high school run-by. Remember those seven individuals who exist together in a picture? Well, here they are again as I last know them.
Joy - now in her 2nd Year college as a AB Psych student in UP-Diliman. has moved in with nikki into a boarding house (bhaus). has a new cellphone and/or cellphone number.
Nikki - now in her 2nd Year college as a BS Chem Eng. student also in UP-Diliman. has moved out of her grandparent's house in makati to her own place with joy (bhaus). bad signal at the bhaus. having a countdown for bryan's arrival.
Bryan - recently just graduated from the american system High School or 12th Grade. entering college next school year. returning to the philippines for vacation after 15 months in new jersey u.s.a. in a week.
Erika - now a nursing student at manila doctor's was it? new school, new friends again. she's no longer a distant cousin in DLSU-M. has a neat layout at her blog (starcast) right now.
Candy - as far as i know, she's still in DLSU-D (um, where else could she be...) and BSN2-3 i think. all her classes are at the UMC (DLSU-HSC) like my one 2nd year friend at the dorms who is BSN2-5. i haven't seen candy at the on-campus dorms, so she's moved out and somewhere else. lost contact.
Lance - moved next door to room F4 so he's no longer my room mate. it was his decision! not mine. i still consider him one of my best friends. been friends since 1st year high school, that was like... almost five years ago. even if we don't seem to act like best friends, we have this thing called "Genuine Dialogue" where we can talk to each other about anything about us... past and present, even future. that's cool to me. // not only has he shifted rooms, he's also somehow shifted blocks from block PPT(1)-7 to PPT(2)-5.
I hope the opening lines of my entry in "Staffer's Corner" in the first broadsheet of the year doesn't cause a stir among the athenean community at DLSU-D. i didn't mention anything bad... but i did mention that atheneum was entirely academic-focused and they had no extracurricular activities to develop "the person i wanted to be.". i did not mention the word "atheneum", i only mentioned "my high school". I will post the entire staffer's corner here next week.
