HAVE A LITTLE FAITH IN ME
Carpe Noctem (Seize the Night) - Year 2 - Starting Week #15
Background Music:
"Baby Boy" by Beyonce

NOTE: This is a weekly blog entry that is posted at the start of the week prior to moving into my dormitory.

WE'VE just received the "Go Signal" from my dad on buying a new PC. The computer that I've been using in creating this blog a year and a half ago is a Compaq Presario 2240, which we bought back on the island paradise of Okinawa, Japan back in 1997. It crashes every 1.5 to 2 years and right now we've been keeping it alive as much as possible. I mean, it does contain more than a thousand photographs both scanned and from a digital camera. I've banned installing heavy games since the PC is only 4 Gigabites. Back then, that was huge. But now, 80 Gigabites is huge.

I'm excited about getting a new computer. Thing is though, it would belong to my brother since he's the one who formally asked my dad. My dad agreed through e-mail. I'm now suggesting my mom and my brother start collecting flyers from Computer Stores at SM Bacoor or something.

What happens to this computer I'm using right now? Well, I ain't going to let it die a slow horrible death. I'm going to see if there are any other enhancements I can apply to it. It's a good computer. It's been working for nearly five years. It's a computer I've banned high memory games to be installed on. Meaning, if it ends up in the dorm one day (I would still prefer a Laptop) ... no one can play games on it. Meaning less trouble. It'll just be for all my articles and academic work.

Anyways, the things in my head right now that I want to buy are a brand new cellphone (I've been carrying a 3210 for almost a year now) and perhaps a Playstation 2 with Final Fantasy X, Tekken Tag Tournament, Tekken 4, and hopefully Final Fantasy X-2 and Final Fantasy XI "Vana'diel Offline" or something.

But what I need more are a new line of polos or shirts in my wardrobe. Wait, I'm not saying I can afford to buy ten new polos and shirts. I'm just saying, I want to buy two or three, perhaps four new polos or shirts to toss into the circulation of washdays. I love that shades of blue polo and that white polo I have... but wearing it every washday is definantly out of the question!

In fact, I joked to a dorm mate recently that wearing the shades of blue polo with my white and blue off-court shoes and Penshoppe pants is starting to look like the "Default Costume" of myself if I were a fighter in Tekken. The alternative is the same shoes, same pants, but with that white polo. Hehe.

Things I want to buy in the future:
- A Dark Blue Nokia 7250i (php 25,000+) *
- A Decent Laptop (php 50,000+) *
- A modified Playstation 2 (php 13,000+) *
- A Penshoppe Jacket (php 900.00)
- A Regular Automatic Camera (php 2,000+)
- A Series of Photo Albums (php 1,000)
- A New pair of Jazzy Prescription glasses (php 3,000) *
- A New pair of cheap yet stylish shades (php 500.00)
- A New Men's Necklace (php 150.00)
- An Ice Blue set of Contact Lens (php XXXX.00) *
- A Modern Timex Wristwatch (php XXXX.00) *

* - cannot afford

Hey, a guy can dream.

Nothing much happened this past weekend other than rest, air condition, and Final Fantasy X in the comforts of my own room in the house. Mom went with her friends to GMA-7 studios to watch "SOP Rules" on Sunday. That seems to be it. Oh yeah, having a haircut. A long needed haircut.

Drum rolls please... and now, the four pillars:

Academics/JOU2-1. (75% share) What share? I've decided to just post this up to show the amount of revised dedication I need to give to a certain pillar. I've just emerged out of a powerful storm that ripped across my Midterms and I don't like any single grade I got. Well, maybe except for PHED103 with a 3.75 but that's it. All power needs to be diverted to this pillar!! Specifically towards Comm Theory!! I want to do the Outreach Program this week in REED103, so we can get it out of the way.

Heraldo Filipino. (15% share) The 2nd Broadsheet is to arrive at La Salle on Monday and for distribution on Tuesday. I have two articles published in this issue compared to last issue's seven articles (which would include one photo, a staffers corner, and a contribution to the Decreto fact bar). What's the deal? Well, one thing is... this Broadsheet was thee most hardest one I've worked with. Even if only two articles of mine got published, the painstaking assignments and effort here was just the most pressuring. I've been working for the paper for a year, non-stop, and still the paper asks for more. It was in this issue I just got so tired I lost my balance, ended up disappointing one or two editors if not all of the editors, and went to limits to even think of filing for LOA. Well, the good news is even if I do have only two articles published here, one of them is on the Front Page. Heheh.

AB Comm Channel. (10% share) I spoke to Jude, the Associate Producer for Com-TV, and she told me all shooting schedules haven't been followed and that no meetings have been called recently. I just want to finish the concept of that AB Comm Channel T-Shirt and I want everyone to wear it... for morale.

Dormitory/Tropa. Ah, yes, Final Fantasy X. I'm around 45 hours into the game after starting it two and a half weeks ago. I'm about to fight Sin, but I want to Level up my characters and work on the many Side Quests. I guess, at this point, I don't need to play the game zealously until 3 o'clock in the morning. I guess I can stop time to time. This week, the PS2 and FFX return to Lance's room so I'll be there and no longer in my room if I were to play. In the dormitory, there have been crimes of theft recently and I'm wondering if the Men's Dorm Officers are going to do something about it. Sana lang, it's there job. They need to launch an investigation. The cases are getting worse. I'm extra careful on my things and at this point, nothing has been stolen from me yet. And about the tropa, it's Aldrich's Birthday this week (actually, it's TODAY) so HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Hopefully more fun "dinners" and all. That's all I can ask for.

God Bless and a Happy, Healthy Week to everyone!
