LET'S PLAY SOME BLITZBALL
Carpe Noctem (Seize the Night) - Year 2 - Starting Week #13
Background Music: "(There's Gotta Be) More To Life" by S. Orrico
NOTE: A Weekly post made before moving back into my Dorm in La Salle on Sunday nights.
I'M WONDERING now if I'll still have enough time to play Final Fantasy X. I managed to start last Friday and now I'm hooked onto the game I've always wanted to play the moment word came out of it. And to say, this game was released ages ago now.
Yes, I'm a Final Fantasy addict. Actually, I used to play so many video games in my past but around the end of High School and into College... that gaming side of me died down. I've played the classic FFVII, the romantic FFVIII, and the adventurous FFIX... but not the for-playstation-2-only FFX. That's the number one reason I haven't had the chance to play the game is because it's on a more advanced game system. I don't have a Playstation 2.

That shouldn't be the topic of my Carpe Noctem! I guess I've decided to change some things to make the blog content appear a bit different.
The Finals term begin this week and I'm expecting to get beaten and battered by an entourage of disappointing grades. I think my past two terms have been "too much work" that quality work doesn't get done. Best example is in the Heraldo Filipino. Too much "assigned" work there made my brain swell up only to find myself looking like a psychopath inside the dormitories. Ask Tony. He even said it to me in spanish. Literally.
This Finals term I'm turning down, no matter how tempting, all Broadsheet articles that do not fall under the Features section. I will not accept anymore News articles for the third Broadsheet, no matter how tempting. I'll do my work in Features and then I'll log in and I'll log out. I'll attend meetings and I'll give co-staffers all the morale support they need. But, I won't take any weight from the other sections. I'm planning on flying under the radar (for the first time) from now until the Midyear Workshop.
I have grades to fix.
Friends to tune up.
And games to play.
I've been "all work and no play" for over a year now.
And if I continue that way, I'll turn into a unproductive zombie.

And now the four pillars of my college life:
Academics/JOU2-1. Like in the title, it's the finals term now. Time to strike it! Err... in bowling since I missed many things so far... it would mean it's now to hit that spare. I'm sure I'll be shown test papers that will provoke a negative reaction. Ahh... let it be. It's happened once, it's happened twice, and I ain't letting it happening again.
Heraldo Filipino. The 2nd Broadsheet of this School Year is the hardest at the same time most ironic issue I've ever worked with. I had a record-breaking amount of articles due for it, but in the end only two surfaced not including the News Feature I didn't have a heart for. Yes, it should be scrapped. It's my fault in the first place to accept the task, and then I was an idiot to accept it again when I was given a chance to reconsider. I have two news articles and a news feature as the possible ones to get published. And I say it's the hardest one? The 1st Broadsheet of this year I was surprised to have seven items published (a record I made for myself compared to the measley 3-4 items published before). And now in this next issue which I think was the most difficult mentally, physically, and so on and so forth can only possibly come out with one, two, or three articles. I'm not supposed to be counting to this extreme, but what questions me is that 7 articles (includes 1 photo and a staffers corner) for last issue didn't make my brain swell as hard for the 3 articles that I've worked on for the next issue. My passion for writing has gone down... and I'm tired of writing. I want a break. I need a break. I want to concentrate on my home section. Me and my big mouth in the News Section resulted in the bad physical health I'm in right now. Ugh....
AB Comm Channel. The Kantahan Tugtugan Sayawan Six (KTS-6) is this week and supposedly we're covering it. The segment Jude and I was to work on about the "behind the scenes of KTS" is still in the blur for me. And I blame myself for that.
Dormitory/Tropa. The kitten is dead and my corner of the room remains organized. I've started to play Final Fantasy X. I'm playing it at Lance's room (next door in Condominium F-4) since Kevin is playing it too (he's 25 hours into the game, I'm about 5 hours into the game). With the tropa, well, we all have our problems and I'm hoping nothing gets any worse this week. Let's all be productive and help each other out in the final stretch of the semester.

Cheers to a great, fun, safe, and productive week!
Title explained: Blitzball is the sports game in the world of FFX. The players are inside of this giant sphere of breathable water and they swim around trying to score with the blitzball. In the troubled world of Spira where a phenomenon named "Sin" destroys technological advances throughout the lands, it's only Blitzball where the people find entertainment and happiness instead of pain and sorrow.
