SPECIAL REPORT: GENERATING REACTIONS
POINTES cheated by GMA-7's S.O.P. Rules
YESTERDAY's "Campus Frontact Championships" was supposed to be a happy competition between the three schools which defended their titles during their reign on the popular Sunday concert show. It was a heated fight between Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU), De La Salle University - Dasmariñas (DLSU-D), and University of the Philippines - Los Baños (UPLB).
Ateneo carried three (3) straight wins before being defeated by DLSU-D.
DLSU-D carried six (6) straight wins before being defeated by UPLB in a controversial voting mix-up. The defending champs DLSU-D supposedly positioned in FRONTACT A was mysteriously moved to FRONTACT B. Votes were lost. And supporters of DLSU-D mistakenly voted for UPLB.
UPLB carried seven (7) straight wins up until yesterday's championship round where all three schools were invited for one last fight.
Suited in jeans and white and blue t-shirts were the dancers from Ateneo as Frontact A. They performed to the classic hip hop dance hit of the late 90s... "Choo Choo Train".
Next was DLSU-D, suited for the summer season in short white skirts (girls) and white shorts (guys). The girls had a light green sports-tube (?!) while the guys wore green sando. The music DLSU-D performed to was "Toxic" as Frontact B
The defending champs, UPLB was wearing white jogging pants with a maroon "SJazz" t-shirt. The music they danced to was a mix of four different songs. UPLB was Frontact C.

Flashback to January 25: SOP Rules moved DLSU-D from Frontact A (defending) to Frontact B (challenger). Wrong votes were cast and this was the only time in the entire competition (with exception to a fairly announced CHAMPIONSHIP round) that the defending champions were not Frontact A.
A disappointed PnF and its supporters set aside their anger as time went on.

Return to last Sunday's show: It was clearly evident that PnF had won the show. Witnesses on the set saw the reaction of some of the artistas present and even some of the staff... they too were shocked when FRONTACT C was announced as winner. It was clearly seen in txt messages sent to thousands of fans that the PnF were winning by 400 votes (ahead of UPLB).
The competition's theme is "Txter's Choice" and the people txt'd their votes. If UPLB or Ateneo deserved to win by votes, then they should win and we'll just shut up about it. But to hold in your hand a cellphone that clearly reads the letter you voted for is winning (in our case, Frontact B)... and then have the show announce the winners as FRONTACT C is just outrageous.
It just comes to show how SOP Rules just grabs people with talent and USES them to improve their ratings. It was supposed to be a fair and fun thing... a win-win situation. People were starting to like SOP Rules because of this creative segment. But look at what happened!
It's just outrageous. Until GMA-7's S.O.P. does something about this soon, we are encouraging all those out there (from any university, school, city, town, barangay, or whatever) who knows in their hearts what good justice and fair play means... to please BOYCOTT S.O.P. Switch to ASAP Mania on ABS-CBN if you want, just don't support SOP anymore.
I'm not angry at the schools we competed with... I'm not angry at Ateneo or UPLB. I'm angry at the stupid system. A very disappointing, stupid system.

ulit namin, no doubt, angat na angat ang pointes

Di dapat tayo makuntento sa nangyari. Sobrang
pagod at hirap ang pinagdaanan nila para lang
lokohin ng ganito! Obvious naman na 400 ang
lamang natin! nakakaasar!!!!!! di kami

ganito!!
Pero sa lahat ng lasallians, at sa lahat ng mga
taong sumoporta, POINTES N' FLEXES still rules!!

to-life story n to..iba ang nangyari...totoong
dinaya..sbi nila.. gnun daw talaga you're
looking for reasons or for sum1 to blame but
this one... hello!!check the record...and dis is
how it goes...
ako talaga ever supportive s dating kong group
ang pointes and flexes..at madaming nakakaalam n
kasali cla s SOP campus frontact.. oo madaming
nakapanood...alam nila ang galing n teknikal s
pagsasayaw...aminin n ntin.. taga lasal k man o
hindi makikita mong iba ang galaw
nila..propesyonal.. sobrang cpag kong
magcampaign for dem to the point n tinxt ko
lahat ng frendz ko..n kesehodang
magkandalakilaki pa ang bill ko s cellfone eh
wla akong pakiaalam..gusto ko clang manalo s
grand finals...eh di eto n ang pinakaaabangang
araw... sobrang dami ng tnxt ko...boto dito boto
doon..then the choreographer txted me to keep on
sending my votes coz may mga rumors daw n may
plano ung kalaban..so i even voted up to the
last minute.. kahit n kampante n ko n as per
poll.. cla ang lamang.. and to my surprise..
uplb pa ang nanalo..pasabing tabi po s mga taga
up pero if you happen to vote makikita mo s poll
n panalo talaga ang dlsu...iniisip ko
kaagad...is there conspiracy s nangyari???ano ba
talaga..i txtd the choreo to tell him n der's a
mistake..sbi niya oo daw dinadaya n nga cla..
nagkakagulo daw s sop.. sbi daw ng staff n wla
ung responsable dun....well dis is just to
inform you guyz...i am askin' for your help to
email sop re this matter...isnt it unfair??!!!

is..and we can even asked globe's poll di ba?!!!
