DOWN, CONFINED, ISOLATED, and INFECTED
Attack of the Exotic Infection!

HERE I am at home stuck in my room and suspended from the wonders at La Salle. I hate this feeling of being isolated from everyone and missing out on things.

I've missed Tom's modelling at CBA's Exec Looks. Tom txt'd last night and told me he won "People's Choice", "Juror's Choice", and the Grand Prize. I replied "GRANDSLAM!!! Congratz Tom!!".

Damn. I missed it! Good thing his girlfriend and my close friend and classmate, Leah, captured the event on an ENG. I'll watch it when I return to La Salle.

Anyways, I'm down with GERMAN MEASLES.

Here is my kwento. Last Thursday I came down with a mild fever at the dorm. It wasn't an intense fever, it was just "low grade". I was down all weekend and took Biogesic to get me by.

When I moved into my dorm on Sunday night, my mild fever had just about gone away. Then, on Monday morning my skin was feeling extra sensitive. While wearing a shirt, it would get slightly irritated.

I didn't attend my classes on Monday and by Monday night I took notice of this rash on my neck. Then I looked in the mirror and noticed I looked really different... I looked pale. Funny how Tom noticed this, not even my room mates.

The following morning I went to the clinic at JFH where the doctor there dismissed what I had as a mere rash and she even told me it's okay to attend class. She gave me a prescription.

I attended ENR-I as the only class I went to this week and after class I wasn't satisfied with the JFH clinic's analysis of me. I joined Upper and we went to the bayan to eat at the Middle East Shawarma house or something like that.

After that, I declared I was going to the UMC and I won't be attending class. Upper dropped me and Kate off. Kate went with me since she didn't have class.

At the UMC we searched for the place to sign up for a check-up. We ended up going to the OPD or Out Patient Department and signed up with local people. What I mean there is, I didn't sign up at the UMC clinic... I had gotten in line with ordinary citizens and not as a student.

After about 30 minutes, I had my check-up with a nurse and an attending doctor. I removed my polo and sando and the doctor told me she saw what she believed is german measles. She told me I can't attend classes and she revised the prescription made by the doctor at JFH.

After my check-up, Kate accompanied me to Mercury Drug where I planned on buying the prescribed medicine. It so happened I didn't have the cash to buy it all (I only had Php 200.00 with me at the time) so we headed across the pedestrian bridge and went to Waltermart where I bought juice at the supermarket. She joined me as I had soup at the mini-food court and we returned to the campus afterwards.

I was going home. I went to my dorm to pack up and wait for my parents. They arrived and after returning to Mercury Drug to complete the prescription orders, we went home.

I spent my whole Wednesday lying down in bed and watching TV. I watched "Pinay Pie" with Ai Ai delos Alas and then The Amazing Race 5... Bob and Joyce were eliminated and it disappointed me.

I also watched Charmed, the episode about the "Witch Wars". It was sort of lame, but I do know next week's 2-hour season finale will make up for it.

It's boring here! I want to feel better already.
