LOVE IS A BATTLEFIELD
The Damage Report - Year 3 - Ending Week #4
Background Music: "Vindicated" by Dashboard Confessional
NOTE: This is a weekly blog entry that summarizes a series of events of a finished week in and around La Salle.
As I watch you move, across the moonlit room
There's so much tenderness in your loving
Tomorrow I must leave, the dawn knows no reprieve
God give me strength when I am leaving...
So raise your hands to heaven and pray
That we'll be back together someday
Tonight, I need your sweet caress
Hold me in the darkness
Tonight, you calm my restlessness
You relieve my sadness
As we move to embrace, tears run down your face
I whisper words of love, so softly
I can't believe this pain, it's driving me insane
Without your touch, life will be lonely
So raise your hands to heaven and pray
That we'll be back together someday
Tonight, I need your sweet caress
Hold me in the darkness
Tonight, you calm my restlessness
You relieve my sadness
Morning has come, another day
I must pack my bags and say goodbye...
Goodbye...
GOODBYE to the lingering thoughts.

Onwards, always up
This past week I've fought against the feelings of loneliness I felt in the week before (see previous entry "Of Diamonds, Clubs, and Spades"). I openly stated I had newer prospects, newer interests.
They say it's bad to go out and look for the love of your life when you should just stay put and let it happen. I've been patient. Geezus Kryst I didn't think of any other girl other than her ever since I tried courting her last November. Oo, torpe ako. Well, torpe din siya! We could've met at both ends for an MU or something.
I'm just trying to salvage a friendship I treasured so much back then.
Moving on (ang sungit ko pare)... the feeling of seeing your crush and making ones' day (which is so damn high school) is all I can do right now. Everytime I see Marian of JOU2-2, a female vocalist of the CLA Pool of Talents band "Livewire", I just feel good. I'm not dying to see her or have any prospects of going after her, but she just has this great smile... and she can sing really good too. Perhaps the most appealing though, is that everytime she goes on stage to sing something she always greets all Broadcast Journalism students. She's proud of her course. I'd do the same if I went on stage with a great singing voice.
Another is Tom Wagan's friend Lourdes. She's gorgeous, that's one thing I can say about her. Tom said professors at CBA court her. Wow. She's out-going from the descriptions I've heard.
Then of course there's this First Year girl that Lance has a crush on. She's also a Broadcast Journalism student. She has the potential to become an artista with her looks. She has a cute nose, a great complexion, and has highlights in her hair that just complete that alluring look she has. Thing is though, she's a frosh. I'm a third year college student. Any long term relationship with a frosh right now would be difficult if I'd be entering the industry while maintaing attached to someone still in college. Iono. A girl like her would probably have dozens of suitors... a kind of girl I'd like would be the unseen jewel. The girl next door that nobody seems to mind.

Ground Zero
I'm satisfied with the turn-out of the first ever Broadcast Journalism General Assembly. This year, JOU enters its fourth year of existence. The pioneer class are now the seniors which complete the circle.
I wasn't happy I didn't get to perform myself! Haha. I also wished my block threw all its talent into the event. We had singers as our representatives, but I miss the exciting dance numbers some of my classmates juggled up. These wearn't high school dance steps, these were dance steps just as good as Pointes' of PAG and Frolic of the CLA Pool of Talents.
The event should've been in June during all the major organizations recruitment period. It also should've been located at Tanghalan Julian Felipe not the 2nd floor of the Alumni Bldg. And the critic that I am really hates the backdrop... it was so dull.
But that's besides the point. At least we got a General Assembly finished for JOU.
I leave you with pictures:

Absents
I was absent in three classes this past week. Electronic Newsroom I on Tuesday, RTV Newswriting on Wednesday, and REED105 on Friday.
Why? Sleeping late. Waking up tired. It's so irresponsible of me. Yeah, I know that. It's just one of those days.
I couldn't submit my LS article to Eric this past week. And to make up for my absence in REED105 I successfully revised my column and its ready for submission and processing down the line.
I also took notice that I didn't see my classmates much this past week. I miss them. And they txt'd, they miss me too. Awww.
