2046: A VAGUE AND VIVID MASTERPIECE
*Cough* for those who were attentive in watching this film!

I just watched this movie with some of my friends at Festival earlier. It's for a requirement in Cinematography for the prelims. Some of my other classmates found this movie so boring, they left the cinema before the movie was finished.

I found it very interesting. It's intense with it's encrypted and stunning visuals about a columnist/writer who comes up with an alternate and twisted utopian world of a future in 2046. But, the secret is that "2046" isn't about a future world. It's actually about the things happening in and around an apartment in Hong Kong in the 1960s that involves questions of love, fate, destiny, and the changes wedged in them.

It makes me want to watch it again. Not only because some of the storyline remains vague, but simply because some elements of the visuals struck me.
