YOYONG AND HYATT
The Damage Report - Year 3 - Ending Week #22

Who is Yoyong?
I was anticipating Super Typhoon Yoyong to wreck havoc during the weekend. Classes were suspended on Thursday and people were panic buying at the supermarket. The gusts were getting stronger. The rain was shy of a total downpour but add the wind to it and it was like walking inside of a washing machine.
People were running. This storm which appeared fast and furious in weather reports was fast alright, but it's fury was felt further up north. North and Central Luzon have been ravaged by three typhoons in the past two weeks, and all Cavite has really felt was the lash of rain and wind but nothing dramatic.
While families huddled together in their homes on Thursday Night after Signal Two was declared over Cavite and neighboring provinces, I was huddled under an umbrella with my classmate Kay.
I was sleeping over at MANSION for the first time. Upstairs, my classmates in JOU3-1 Apple and Katz dorm. While downstairs is where my friend Leah resides.
Basically we played cards, drank Mango-Sprite Gin, and played those kind of games. It was fun. It was memorable.

Miss Atheneum '99 turns 18
I went to Kristin Kay David's 18th birthday at Hyatt Regency Hotel in Metro Manila on Saturday. She's not even from my batch, but I went along to just do something spontaneous.
Lance and I commuted from Dasma to get picked up at SM Bacoor by Gerlie, a batchmate of Kay David. Then we sped into Manila in the evening hours and made it to the debut three hours late.
I saw the Attorney, the Principal, and their daughter who is now a teacher at my High School. A lot of Atheneans from Class 2003 were there. And from my class, 2002, there was Lance and there was Erika Ungson.
I haven't seen Erika Ungson in ages. We catched up on a lot. The ceremony was exquisite. The food was delicious because it was expensive food! The ambiance reminded me of my former classmate in Broadjourn, Charmagne Diaz, who celebrated her debut at Coconut Palace in June of 2003.
Kay reserved two hotel rooms for her guests and I was spending time talking to Erika and also getting to meet some of Class 2003. I met Christopher Estacion finally, he's also a balikbayan and he also lives in Tanza. I didn't know that.
Tom Chen and other characters from their batch like Elroy look the same, just a bit older. A lot of Class 2003 study in La Salle Manila. One of them, Roxanne Guinoo, went to ABS-CBN and came out as one of the final Questors on Star Circle Quest.
The following morning we commuted back to Cavite. Christopher Estacion, Erika, Lance, and I ate at Kenny Rogers Roasters. Lance and I commuted back home to Dasma.

You were a friend of mine I let you spend the night.
You see, it was my fault. Of course it was mine.
I'm too hard at work.
Have you ever heard of anything so absurd ever in your life?
I'm sorry for wasting your time.
Who am I to say this situation isn't great?
When it's my job to make the most of it
Of course I didn't know that it would happen to me.
Not that easy.
Hey. What's that you say?
You're not blaming me for anything.
Well, that's great, but I don't break that easy.
Does it fade away?
So, that's why I'm ... I'm apologizing now
For telling you I thought that we could make it
I just don't get enough to believe that we've both changed.
See who am I to say this situation isn't great?
It is my time to make the most of it
Of course I didn't know that it would happen to me.
Not that easy, no.
No, no no.
If all along the fault is up for grabs,
Why can't she have it?
If it's for sale, what is your offer?
I will sell it for no less than what I bought it for.
Pay no more than absolutely zero.
Well, neither one of us deserves the blame,
Because opportunities moved us away.
It's not an easy thing to learn to play
A game that's made for two--that's you and me.
The rules remain a mystery.
See how it's easy?
So, who am I to say this situation isn't great?
When it's our time to make the most of it,
How could we ever know that this would happen to me?
Not that easy, no.
No ...
When all along the fault is up for grabs, and there you have it.
Well, it's for sale--go make your offer.
Will I sell it for no less than what I bought it for me?
Pay no more than absolutely zero?
ABSOLUTELY ZERO. Jason Mraz.
I heard this song while I was at my classmates' dorm. I was just sitting there when suddenly this song sounded like it came from the Coldplay genre. I found out it was from Jason Mraz so I ended up borrowing my brother's copy of the CD.
It's a good song actually. Eric said it was bland, I think it's okay for Jason Mraz to have a slow song compared to all those catchy beats he sings along with.
