WHERE'S THE BEACH
The Damage Report - Year 3 - Summer Week #01
Background Music: "I Used To Love You" by Kanye West ft. John Legend
NOTE: This is a weekly blog entry that summarizes a series of events of a finished week in and around La Salle.
THE FIRST FEW days of the week were the most irritating. Then around the end of the week it was mind-boggling. Anything from the ABS-CBN Bea and John Lloyd shoot this past week to the lonely times at the dorm, it's just nothing like before.

Imagine if this coconut shell was my dorm.
I try to keep myself busy to keep my mind off things. My professor in Rizal is Sir Esternon, a nice yet boring looking man. But I heard he knows a lot and asks the most interesting of questions. He's also very trivial with Jose Rizal.

Preparing my reg. form, course card, and flow chart.
For both Public Relations and Broadcast Management, it's under Ms. Salvan (she was our professor last summer in Newspaper Management and Production). In all three subjects, we've had film showings or some type of visual this past week.
I'm not classmates in any JOU3-2 block timeslot this summer which means I'm found bouncing back into JOU3-1 during breaks. I'm usually found with Tope or Kate, seldom with Eric and Maycee. I've spent time this past week with different people. From Peepo, Juno, and Mich on Monday to Rona and company on Thursday.

Juno and Peepo with Michelle Tayer of the Pioneer JOU batch.
I can say that things are different but it's this space that I want right now to think about things.

Photo shoot for my column in LS special
Part of my irritation and frustration this past week related on LS special. I guess, in some way, it's all settled now. I edited 19 sports articles in one sitting (four hours) at the dorm on Monday (or was it Tuesday, hmmm...) and proofread Palad. I've also started to get nostalgic at HF since it's nearing the end of Team Nineteen.
Here are some pictures we took. I got Kate and Tope involved. Both my page and column are finished in the layout.

Summer sweat.

We had our panel interview for the editorial board of HF20 on Monday. It was sudden, but I don't think I messed up on my questions. Nothing was scripted, I believe everything I said came out naturally and with heart. I got teary-eyed during their last question which was "Who do you see as the next EIC?" (Sigh.)

The last days of HF Team Nineteen.
I always try convincing myself that three years is good enough and that the last year should be reserved for something else. It's a struggle, going with what seems safe versus what would seem to make me happier.

Raygan Victor still doing it in the summer.
But I guess I have to look at it like a game. We all have to aim for victory and think positive. We all have to take in the challenges and work our way out of it. We have to prepare for the changes, adapt to them, and keep going.

Life, looking like a game of chess.
I hope in one weeks' time I have a future that isn't so mysterious like how it seems right now. I want to have focus already placed into my last year of college.
