IT'S ON IN TAGAYTAY
Atheneum class 2002 celebrates another summer reunion
ANOTHER REUNION was successfully pulled off by the Class of 2002 from Atheneum. It was planned by Jeff Arias, and was attended by about half the graduated class and with some old friends.
The location was at this resthouse in Tagaytay Country Homes. It started off at McDonald's Noveleta on Saturday morning with a five-car convoy. We crossed into Tagaytay via Amadeo (the Coffee Town of the Philippines).
The resthouse was relatively small, but just right. Quickly we found our places and I brought in two old high school tapes as my contribution to the entertainment. The first tape featured Miss Atheneum 2001 which had Patricia Papa and Erika Ungson representing our batch. The second tape featured the Retreat in Tagaytay and the first Cheerleading Competition of Atheneum which we won.
I'm glad everyone enjoyed it. I took pictures and video taped everyone watching. Right now we're all smiles watching these tapes, but imagine us twenty years from now watching these old memories on screen. I think it's all worth it.
It was Chris del Rosario's birthday. He brought in some food, pansit and this cordon bleu thing which was tasty yet there wasn't any rice. Chicken came in later. They started the rounds of Matador and Red Horse. I drank some Red Horse and jumped into the pool with the rest.
Sigh. It was a taste of summer even as summer is slowly coming to an end.
