BAGYO SA PUSO

This week, I caught a cold.
The rain was unstoppable.
The dorm was a mess.
Tapings in Tagaytay.
Meetings back at school.
A BJPC event on Thursday.
Publicity here and there.

(Sigh)

Taping through the clouds

On Tuesday, we went to Tagaytay City to shoot a few scenes for our educational program in Video Post-production. We wearn't complete like in our trip to Taal Volcano the other week, Len Barcelo and Abbie Mendiola couldn't come.

I was suffering from a cold and a stuffy nose as we ventured off. The eco-trail was nice and I bought these fabric pouches from the picnic grove shops as a cover for my iPod.

We enjoyed Starbucks afterwards and even did some hot seat interviews there.

This week, despite with all the work that's left to do before the semester comes to an end, I dragged myself into the interviews for the new radio station at La Salle. Of course, our department will be holding it. I was invited to become part of the administration of the radio station, but I turned it down since I want to focus my work on BJPC.

Sunshine Radio

I miss seeing my name on these lists.

However, I didn't want to turn it completely down so I still applied for a position that won't be extremely demanding. I applied as a voice talent, DJ, or public relations person. I plan on being active in the 2nd semester since I only have nine units remaining given I don't fail anything this semester.

[UPDATE: I passed as a PR person and also as a DJ (one of four male disc jockeys). Yehey!]

As the trees and plant life of La Salle grew succulant, meetings took place and the CLA sportsfest took off. But for the BJPC, we had our minds focused on another event which was the campus tour of ABC-5's "Dokyu: Ang Bagong Mata ng Pinoy Documentaries".

Dokyu publicity

I believe I overworked myself for Dokyu. I did invitations, posters, and flyers. Basically the job other officers could have done. I realized that I was overworking myself to keep my mind pre-occupied and off the things that have been bothering me recently.

Eventually, the project would turn out to be a great success. I believe we've broken the threshold of BJPC, pushing projects and publicity further than ever before. I just hope and pray that my council sees this and strives to make it continue.

I don't want this to be any ordinary year for JOU. The type of leader I want me and my council to project means innovative, creative, hard-working, and critical.

Thank you to everyone who attended and made DOKYU a success. Next week, we have our "Dead-Air". Talk about double-whammy. ^_^
