Sadness and RAGE. Just when things start to heat up, you lose your inspiration. When there's only a few weeks left of this great college life, things get depressing again. I don't deserve this. (Sigh)
Practicum Progress: 88% complete at 176 out of 200 hours (as of 11:30PM Jan. 13).
the practicum
The 19 ABS-CBN trainees from DLSU-D were deployed to three areas: Studio 23, Production, and ANC.
Studio 23
Joy and Krystel (News Central), Abbie and Wilda (Sports TV), Mark and Anton (Wazzup Wazzup), Christian and Juno (Breakfast)
Production
Jay and Franco (Vietnam Rose), Hermie and Joyce (Maalala Mo Kaya), Kay (Myx)
ABS-CBN News Channel
Ara and George (Business News Group), Pepet, Apple, Upper and Ray (various ANC shows)
Our big brother house
The majority of us from JOU4-2 moved into a duplex unit in Brgy. Paltok on West Avenue. It is our place to stay during the restless practicum.
GMA-7 trainees
With many from JOU42 being adopted by the kapamilya, JOU41 dominates the kapuso network. The trainees here were deployed a day after the ABS-CBN training began. Majority of trainees are on QTV and morning shows.
Other sites
RPN, IBC, Ideal Minds, and Summit Publishing compose other practicum sites that other JOU students are at. Some already started during the sembreak in October.

BJPC: ALT-J EXHIBIT & CHRISTMAS OUTREACHOn being thankful these happened, and people were safeI was pleased that my officers pushed through with the ALT-J Exhibit and Orange Christmas outreach program. As of Monday I appointed Mark (our Secretary) as the OIC of the BJPC until the OJT of the fourth year ends.

Our support for those in our line.
Our first exhibit for this semester. Our Alt-J (Alternative Journalism) Exhibit involved each block section giving out their slogan in support for media freedom. We came up with the exhibit as a means of displaying support at the same time enlightening others that not all news and media exists on big networks.

Posing in front of the exhibit. The exhibit was on display during the Prelim exams week from December 12 to 16. It was located in front of JFH 105.

On the other hand, the outreach program with HF turned out to be a dramatic escape sequence when we were overwhelmed by the number of kids and the culture of a community going crazy over gifts. In terms of collecting donations from our fellow broadjourn (and HF staffers), it was a success. In terms of throwing a Christmas Party, we never got the chance to do it.
What was important though is that we dedicated some time for this and managed to win some smiles in our games with the children.
The rest I leave in pictures.

The only sign of Christmas joy.
Hands reaching out.
Merry Christmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas...
Crowd control.
Checking on Jerson.
It's her turn on the microphone.
Happy.
