PROJECT : MAGI
LasalleƱo - vol X - no 3

It was released last Friday and it was frustrating when I found out thru txt messaging by Badge. Why was it frustrating? Well, suddenly finding out that the Lasalleno is out and having no actual idea on which article you worked on got published feels frustrating. Seeing people walking around holding copies of the latest Lasalleno and still not having one.

The front cover of the latest LasalleƱo: Vol X No 3

When I finally got one and browsed through it, I found out my two articles got published. I'm in Team Recto-Malate, and "Quiapo: Three for a Hundred" and "Malate: Abandoned for Christmas" got published. The first time I got two in the Lasalleno. Yipee.

I liked the animated drawings of the eleven of us. Animated Eric looks just like real life Eric. Hahaha. I also had no idea that there would be a comic version of my encounter with the British guy in the Calesa. I was surprised when I saw that comic.

However there are things to point out on this already delayed issue:
- Where's the British guy inside the Calesa in the drawing?
- Why are the articles about Malate by Paul Membrebe and myself listed under Team Coastal - Star City when we are Team Recto - Malate?
- My name "George Edward" doesn't have a hyphen, again.
- In my article "Quiapo: Three for a Hundred", why was the secondary suggested title published alongside the actual title? (In HF, when you type an article, you put down the suggested titles.) The result here was: "Quiapo: Three for a Hundred, Waiting for Christmas in Quiapo." (...um)

Drawn by Marvin Belano aka SALAD. Paul Membrebe, myself, and Jhecc Cogama. We were TEAM RECTO!

Actually the answer is quite simple. We couldn't edit the Lasalleno that good since there was a Preliminary Examination during that time and of course our Christmas Break. The staff couldn't assist Kuya Marthy (Features' Ed), therefore it ended up like that.

But overall, I believe it looks ok. It's a very interesting Lasalleno about the adventure of eleven people. If you want to recall any mention of this adventure in this blog, look up "Abdul in Manila" in the November 2002 archives.

Speaking of Heraldo Filipino:
- Bon Voyage classmate and co-features' staffer Eric Salta and the rest of the HF research team bound for Vigan, Ilocus Sur during the Lasallian Days. Eric, I can't believe you're going to miss out this week. But enjoy yourself there in Vigan!
- The next Lasalleno is a very special one... the project is already titled: LSX. Since it'll be the fourth last issue of the tenth Volume of the Lasalleno. Lots of articles for this one!
